Being somewhat knowledgable on the subject, I cannot believe the dangerous amount of BS in that article. Let alone the awkwardly misplaced language and the almost Hollywood-level baiting in every paragraph don't really aid me in not getting worked up over this.

I just find it interesting because it opens up another idea on why addicts are addicts. I always figured it was just the drug and the dependancy on it. I guess that's not always the case.

Obviously, the points he makes are valid. But it is borderline audacious to claim this is even remotely new input.

 

Let alone the fact that "deliberate addiction" isn't even in the top three of the causes for the world's drug problem.

 

Then there's the "95% of returning veterans stopped being addicts thing", which is a popular study, however mostly expressing that 95% of the soliders rather were never turned into addicts in the first place.

I've read that before.... fascinating.  If it leads to better ways of helping people deal with a serious problem and unstigmatises addiction a bit more, then that's good.

It's the continuing adventures of my Kitteh archer, J'Harek Mane.  After over 200 hours of play maybe it was about time I got back to it and, y'know, progressed the plot a bit for a change.  But no, instead I went on with tidying up all those other quests that needed doing.

I'd forgotten how much fun it is to troll the Falmer.  My character is so stealthy he can walk - or possibly even run - right past them and they don't notice, because they are blind and he has the perks that make him silent at all time.
