Hmmm might be tough to pull off, but I'll see what I can do.

First day back to work is always the most tiring for me. I'm taking this drink to go. Stay thirsty, my friends.

Man I just had a blast playing Bubble Bobble again. I think biower should be more like Bubble Bobble because I found it to be very blast-havingly.

I also got free DLC for salmon colored bubbles. Biorwa never salmons my bubbles for free.

P.S.: Romances in Bubble Bobble suck tho.

P.P.S.: Fite my highscores: http://www.ventoline.com/frozenbubble/

Make a note everyone who will be playing The Witcher 3 again and quite possibly a third time etcetera... Make a seperate save after completing everything in White Orchard but not yet moving onto the next zone. Nothing, besides one quest which is really, really minor in it's repercussion, but if that is a big deal for you, save leaving only that left to decide (it's the quest where you can either give the woman a potion or not) and then don't save over it again. It feels like a chore going through it again because besides that one thing, there isn't much else that affects the game so it really doesn't matter about going through it all again for a new playthrough.

I cannot believe I just wasted the devil's own Robert Johnson on that thread.

Extreme cases demand extreme measures.

Immersion broken! Just finished a contract, and said the guy could keep the money for his daughers dowry (it was only 20 crowns, nothing really) so instead, he insists I take an Amethyst. Y'know? The gemstone amethyst. In game, it sells for 120 crowns... Ummm... okay then, thanks.

Excellent if you're trying to lose weight and your appetite in an unhealthy way, a.k.a. the bulimic way.

What I'm actually saying is... DON'T.

What the hell happened to his face?!

And I know, but I figured for 20 crowns and a decent cause, I'm fine with working without pay. The man wouldn't even haggle. Wouldn't even bump up the cost to 21 crowns! Man had nothing to start with... well, he did but that's not the point.

So can I clumsily raise a topic?

It hit me today, how it is incredbile what BioWare has done with Anders. It is -genuinely and neutrally speaking- an incredible amount of hatred this character sparked. How universally disliked he is, and the reasons commonly stated, is truly remarkable among all releases BW ever put forth so far. I really wonder what it is exactly. Psychologically speaking, if you will.

The thing is, Anders himself is hardly the worst murderer (enemies when travelling with the PC nonwithstanding in all cases), but he is the only one who disobeys the player in such a fashion. Moreover tough, he doesn't even make it much of a mystery what he's up to, or capable of, but players still do not believe that a character could break the cage of companionship with them. "If he stays an active companion in my selection menu, if I just complete quests as I'm used to, this combination does never lead to negative outcomes. If they do, there must be a decision to avoid it - those people don't make decisions, their fates merely react to mine."

I wager that is truly what upsets a large portion of people in regards to Anders. At face value many demand deep, morally ambiguous characters; because they consciously understand this is what intelligent consumers of media are expected to enjoy - yet when it comes down to it, a character must be friendly or at least respectful. Their own agenda can only proceed insofar that they do not put it above the player's. Yet this is exactly what individuals in dire situations do.

I could go on, but I don't wanna rile anyone up (in any direction). Just a lingering thought sparked by the recent overflow of "who's cool, who isn't" threads.

Oh, as always I'm late, but...
I agree with your observation, it really sometimes seems that way.

Personally, I don't like Anders too, but my problem with is him not that he gone against wishes of my Hawke, no (I find this plot twist very... refreshing).
I simply don't understand extremists of any kind.
This is why I annoyed by Anders, Fiona, Adrian... Maybe I'm wrong, but those people never struck me as good wishes (hope I wrote it right).
They have certain image of how the world should be, think that they are right and have the authority to speak for everyone and they don't care about the cost.
Not that different from Corypheus, in my opinion.

Ok, I'm done with necromancing old discussions.

Now I'll just drink.

If I may ,

You have exremist who...have their life separated from their beliefs . And want to controle the world in a certain way cose X and Y should be better and they know better .

And you have 'extremist' who actually have a stake in saying X and Y should be like this . In the case you mentioned *fiona and anders and so on* ...it is very easy to call them extremist when you are not part of the equation they are in . Its easy to say 'But the consequences!!!' ...

Trust me , when it is YOUR rights and YOUR life thats being taken away , the 'extremist' to a certain point can become necessary and the only way out . Cose as you know , neither the chantry or the Templar would let the mage go based on 'fear' and 'Maker doctrine' ...

And I said , it isn't about speaking for others . But if only Anders for exemple wanted a way out..nothing will ever change . He will live a miserable life being Hunted..while many mages won't speak out , for fear and what may happen . Sometimes violence is necessary..and the only things those who opress understand .

You are "writing it" most splendidly as per usual, wonderful.

And yes, I agree with that 100% (see how this thread is different from all the others?!), and very well put, too. There's a difference between standing by your ideals or forcing them onto others - or as in Anders' case, even onto your own.

The thing that gripes me with the community's Anders hatred is, however, that the general air of many tells me they want the character to not exist that way, or be more "good", or less emotionally stressful and whatnot. That's like saying "I hate Saren, cause he works with the Reapers."

Sometimes violence is necessary..and the only things those who opress understand .

See, that's where I adamantly disagree.

Sometimes violence is very necessary for self-defense. It must never be necessary to make a point, any such that isn't "violence".

Sometimes the opressed must oppose their opression with violence, but acutely if ever. What Anders did was making a point by demonstrating violence, and that can never lead to a positive outcome. I am very glad they made it impossible to perfectly resolve the Circle question peacefully in DAI because of this prerequisite.

Betcha there will be another new "Witcher" thread before the next 24 hours...  <_<

Soon-to-be drinking games like that is the reason we're here for, after all!
