JUST KIDDING.

 

On a serious note though, archery has grown on me in games. I was always strictly sword and shield in any RPG/MMO/Action RPG, etc.. that was, until I played GW2 and totally sucked at the warrior class there.. which prompted me to give ranger a shot, and had a blast killing **** with arrows.

 

Then on Diablo 3 I got sick of Crusader and gave demon hunter a shot and holy ****.. that class shits all over it!! Spewing I didn't try it out sooner.. I'm keen to replay DA:O and DA2 to play with a bow in the future, when I've played all the trillion other games I've got piled up.

Hell yeah! demon hunter or go home!

 

My class priority goes like this: necromancer>archer (if it is well done)>2handed sword warrior

I've always played a magic class or archer class for every mmorpg, rpg, any sort of game that offers either really. Diablo 3 is demon hunter all the way! I played archer in DAO first time through, I very rarely play sword and board, or even two-hander wielders. Toss magic or arrows at stuff til they die, only way to go

Oh wow, haven't logged in a week. I've been thinking about coming here like once or twice every week since I'm trying to cut on my time spent on these boards. Been playing The Last of Us, taking care of my family, etc. I don't think I want to catch up on the last hundred of pages I missed. Too much to read.

So you're a ranged fighter?

 

I know a lot of people find it easier, but I dunno, I've always thought it was harder cause you don't have the advantage of a strong armour and have to run away from enemies if they come after you. You can't simply just stand there and shoot.. or zap. That's kinda why I always loved the sword and shield, take any motherfucker on. Add to that I have a thing about swords.

 

Yeah, anything ranged. only because it suits my playstyle. I'm good at ranged fighting in games, horrible at melee. My reaction times aren't good and I'm better at zapping from a distance. I get good at it, especially in mmorpg's (WoW, GW2, Rift, I've already listed them all once never again lol) I get practise, and get decent, not great but able to quest and survive most of the time.

 

Edit: ^ quite a babble I did there. roll with it, I'm still tired so nothing makes sense.. lol

I find I'm good at melee on console but better with ranged on PC. I played SWTOR for the first time the other night and chose Sith warrior as my class which is obviously melee.. surprisingly I was doing good with it so I'm getting better with PC controls at least.

 

I haven't played swtor in ages, I have a republic jedi consular as my main character, well for that side. Sith warrior for my empire main so.. melee woot, I'm not bad at it took some time for me to get used to it though. I moved house right before the newest expansion was released so had no internet for a while, and then had no interest in it. *sighs*

The Last Of Us has a good setting, but it's not an open world. I would love it if the sequel allowed us more exploration. The strongest point of this game is its story and its characters. Your resources are also limited so it's good to not waste anything, like bullets, ammos, etc.

Now 2 handed warrior.. I love the idea. I love the fact that you're some strong, buff person who can wield something so huge and inflict such damage!! Only problem is, in every game I play I suck majorly!! I sucked at barbarian on Diablo 3... and man DA:I... I was dying every five minutes.

Ranged fighters don't need strong armour. They have maneuverability and you gotta know how to use it to avoid damage. Some people find it difficult to learn, for others it's more natural to their play style. There's a reason I kicked ass with the Drell Vanguard in ME3 MP and some of my other friends struggled with him. Oh man, I miss my Drellgod.

Fair enough, I got like that with GW2. Got bored of it real quick.. I mean, some of the side quests were just ridiculous. I.e turning into a giant crab to fight another giant crab.. the ****?

 

But from what I've seen of SWTOR it's really good, I'm a sucker for dialogue wheels and story, and for an MMO it has a good one. Only problem is they punish f2pers, it's quite limiting as opposed to subbing, but I don't like the idea of monthly payments coming out of my account. Wish I could just pay for a certain amount of time until it runs out.

 

So uhh, just wanted to tell you , SWTOR offers a one-time purchase for membership. 60 days, $29.99 usd , non-recurring (only pay it once) so exactly what you preferred. . That's what I use for it when I play it.

 

Edit: by one-time purchase they mean it's not deducted from account every 60 days. It's like a game time card lol.
