Almsot hit the final chain of ME2 missions.. This game is becoming a breeze now, yay for upgrades.

 

 

Yes, this is how I sub to that game haha. I just thought I'd tell you for when you might want to know, I hate playing that game f2p , and enjoy it enough not to mind the subscription too much when I have time for it.

though the loading screen at one point said I can die so..   I bawled my eyes out at the start of the game, I don't need triple the stuff at the end of it!

Oh bugger it.  Well, on the bright side there's no rush so I could wait and hope it gets remastered for PS4. Why is it that people ask others for advice on how they should roleplay? Reminds me of this kid who would lend me all the new games his parents bought him, to complete them for him, and return them with a "100% savegame". As if I were doing him some sort of favour.

 

Especially when it's about romance - which once more, brings me to the mystery of how people who value the romance content so very much, sometimes are the most "heartless" and methodical about it.

 

It is those kinds of discussions that make me ponder whether my approach of only having "one true character" -and thus naturally leaving many features & outcomes in the dark and myself wondering- is actually adding to the experience, rather than taking from it. I mean, if you create additional characters with the sole intention of checking every possibility off the list, I do have a hard time believing there's even remotely as much emotional connection left. Yet the naive alien that I am, would argue romance and character relationships don't hold any value without emotional connection.

Having your one true character is a perfect way to enjoy your experience playing a role playing game. Some people would disagree saying you need to play all sorts of characters but it's not true, just a choice they make. I am one who thinks she likes to experience a few ways to complete games, like all the DA ones but mainly for achievements only. That being said I only ever become 'emotionally attached' to one character, it's one path through the game and the personality of said character. the rest are casual rush-hour toons and in DAi at least rarely get past the intro bit let alone half the game itself. i just haven't been able to do it. Majority of my long list of DAI characters are under lvl 8 and not at Skyhold. Current emotionally attached character is Kyrrah . She'll finish her nightmare run and stick around for any future DLC's.

 

I adore the romance sup-plots in Bioware games a lot, but planning the entire playthrough out, including romances, just feels so.. wrong and un-enjoyable.. Which is why I've never succeeded it, right up to this point in time no matter how often i say I am going for a specific choice or specific romance. it never happens. I have 3 "main-ish" lvl 18+ DAI characters for example, all 3 took a different path through the game with 3 different romances but the choices weren't pre-planned, they just happened to suit my whim at the time.

 

On emotional connections to the character and the romance (if any). There's a reason my human mage x Cullen playthrough is my most successful (completed DAI a few times with that character race/class and romance), it's the only one I can get engaged with while playing.

For me my first and blind playthrough is always my canon, and my character and LI the ones I get the most attached with.

I've made new playthoughs to experience the content I've missed, and while it doesn't feel the same I still enjoy them.

Dr Pepper Float soda plus vanilla ice cream is a little redundant (because now it's a Dr Pepper Float Float), but it is so smooth. Cabot, keep 'em coming.

My first playthrough was an elf/mage with Cullen romance. I changed to human next (Lalaith was my second, I've shown her here before) and found human suited me a lot better.

On my first play through it's one of my rules that I don't do any of the romances. No romances allowed first time playing! ..... There was one LI that got me to break my rule.   *drink*
