Meh.  My knee gutt reaction is to say people are crazy.  They are...and I doubt I would like this idea but it could work after the main story of DA is finished.

Yesh >.<

On the bright side, i got Infamous Second Son recently and oh boy is it relaxing going around making necklaces of severed DUP trooper ears, who reprisent everything about humanity i loathe with every fiber of my being, while being a big goddamn hero to the regular folk of the city. Kinda nice change of pace to play something like that between shooters and the heavy intensity of W3.

Sorry Dienne, but it usually happens to me!!  *Looks at IR accusingly*

So.....................yeah about to go do something I have not actually done in years.  I do think.  Time to start planning out my next novel.

Uh oh...did the SM not go well for you?

Hey Foley *waves*.  You should.  I once read your fanfic by accident (I clicked in one of your posts).  I don't read fanfic, not because I don't like it but there is so much out there.  Anyhoo .... the dialogue between your characters worked very well and stood out for me.  Yup.

So does anybody have any thoughts regarding the random full refund options for games on Steam?

As an artist (boy, is there no non-terrible way to spell that out loud?) I'm bemoaning the complete and utter decline in sense of value for basically any work of art naturally, but this kind of takes the cake. Not the notion itself, I mean precisely how in any comment section regarding the matter, there is not a single voice pointing out literally anything wrong with that. The only thing the internet may have ever universally come together about - say what you will about demanding super creative content; when it's about dough, all bets are off alright.

Obviously if a product is faulty (bugs, incompatible hardware, damaged disc), you are entitled to a full compensation; but to me there is no grey area about being "not okay" with the contents of artwork. If you don't like what they did, find another creator. Or a hobby you can afford.

Sorry for being so harsh, but this sets me off everytime. And yeah, this is not about just Steam or video games in particular. Nobody in this civilization truly gives a sh*t about art anymore, as long as they get a f*cking giggle for 2,00 $ out of something people devoted their lives to.

*clears throat*

So, what about a sunny weekend, huh?

If I'm going to buy a piece of art say a painting or a sculpture I'm going to buy one that I like - that gives it value to me.  With games or novels for example, that's a bit more difficult because you are buying content that you cannot see.  Should you get a refund if you don't like the content.  Of course not if it's good content  :) and by good I mean well executed not that I might not like an ending or my fave character got killed, etc.  I can still appreciate the effort and intent going into the piece of work.

.........

Spirit blade kicks ass.  Nothing better than wading into the fray like Han Solo with Fade Cloak and then blasting your enemies to smithereens with Decloaking Blast.  *Drinks to fun times*

thank you. :D  Sometimes I worry about my dialog.  And well ninety nine point nine percent of fan fic is crap.  I try and be the .1 percent.

Oh absolutely. And again, I'm speaking solely about content reasons, assuming the disc works perfectly fine. I think this risk is just one you have to take. You would never consider asking the guy at the cinema to get your money back, if it ran flawlessly & for an appropriate duration, but you just "didn't like it".

If people could rate the quality of an epic with their wallets, artists will quickly find themselves not asking "I hope this will make my work popular / make people buy my next work" but "I hope someone has a guilty enough conscience to at least consider keeping it out of courtesy".
