Interesting. Don't get me wrong I hope its true I just do not see strong evidence for that particular theory. But that is probably since I have only seen the show. And not read the books...yet.

The books are a must read for anyone who loves the show. Trust me, you get so much more context and story that the show just cannot include for understandable reasons.

I have read the first 3-4 chapters. The Intro to A Game of Thrones is soooo much better then the one we got in the first episode.

As the books go on, they can start to feel like a chore to get through but then you get to the absolute amazing chapters and it just makes the build up so much more worth it.

Well the show can sometimes seem like a chore getting through. Both seasons 2 and 5. But because of Blackwater and Dance of Dragons they are some of my favorite seasons. And the reasons I love this show.
Oh for crying out...*goes to grab bow and and quiver...realizes this isn't Westeros so can't challenge people to duels...grumbles...sits down...drinks*
