Confession time, fellow drunkards.  I didn't realize "Mike Hawke" was a play on words until someone posted something about the last name being Hunt instead.  There I was making a sincere post in the thread...

Meh. It only works if you pronounce Hawke as "Hahk." And only Americans, Canadians, and... possibly Mexicans, say it that way. Everywhere else would say it "Hork".

 

So it doesn't work if you say "My-k Hork". Well, it does, but it doesn't sound like "my c○ck". More like "my cork".

confused, careful not to move too quickly, she looks around

the regulars busy with their own stuff and don't even look at her

 

"Strange", - she thinks, slowly she turns to face dwarven Cabot. - "Cabot, good... morning?".

"Day, pretty, day", - d. Cabot says and thin smile appears on his face.

 

his smile completely shaked off any remains of a sleep she had

 

"You're smiling! D. Cabot SMILES!"

 

His smile just widens in response

then her face changed

without asking she takes nearest polished tray

for few seconds she just stares at her reflection, then slowly puts tray back on the bar

 

"...You know, Cabot, I think I finally understood.. what it feels like.... to lose... friends."
