So, this must be because I'm very new to the ME series so didn't wait for years for each game etc, but I think that ending to a trilogy was awesome!

*dances around excitedly* (note I do have extended cut etc thanks to playing the game for the first time when all content's already been released for over a year)

Now what the heck do I do now I've finished ME? I only finished 10 minutes ago and I'm bored again!

I didn't REALLY hate the ending but it hit me like a truck and left me crying for a couple days and with a painful void for weeks.

 

And so, Tragedienne found and finally joined The Drinkquisition.

Also, the ME:A thread about romance is surprisingly reasonable despite the incursion of the odd idiot or more specifically, one particular idiot.

Really anytime I post in a Bioware romance forum (eh-hem I can't believe I'm going to write this), I'm kind of asking for it.

I just know it ended a trilogy, and a story, with a finality. That's all I think. I'm also the sort of person to enjoy things other people don't so no surprise I'm not over-thinking the ending too much. I made a choice, game over, hell of an ending to Shepard's story.

Edit to add: and no, I didn't cry a river. There were a LOT of feels however. Damn... hell of a story ME is.

 

Still need something else to do now.. maybe restart the trilogy again?

I am missing a couple of ME2 dlc's , including Kasumi's .. is she worth grabbing?

DQ country may not make sense north of the Mason-Dixon in the States; however, I would like to see it at least on a map in Thedas where I can pick up my steak fingers and my booze.

My Inquisitor is way too sober and straight-laced.  No brothels, no drinking (except with Iron Bull), wait this game is weird.

I'm a completionist, so I'm gonna go with yep.  Plus, it's better than what you just played.  Agree with Shep ending.  I didn't get to live, but FemShep (still not my name) forever!

By forever, I mean until ME4 comes out, and I bring her out of retirement (okay dead in gaming world...vacay in fanfic...of course in my fanfic I have her screwing my inquisitor because BioWare masterbation and romancing yourself should be an option).

The one thing i do love about tanking for RP, take whoever I want whenever I want.  I'm the tank...now stand over there and kill stuff!

Trust me: invading their encampment and wiping out Caesar's Legion while drunk and high (in game I mean) is very satisfying.

makes sense, but judging on the narrative of the ending Bioware needed Shepard's tale wrapped up in a finality ouchy as it is. Based on that the ending was great. What's with the gasp of breath from Shepard at the end though? Yes I'm sure that's just one ending of I don't know how many possibles (3 or 4?) but still, weird.

 

This is coming from someone who wants all their DA protagonists to just die so there's no more turning them into npc's for one mission just for fan-service *shakes fist at Hawke in DAI* lol. I mean I'd cry, oh yes, and hate it, and rage and complain etc etc but it's better for a series like DA which uses multiple protagonists, not just one, in my opinion lol.

I'm mad because BW managed to disappoint me even after i had gotten used to their progressively poor writing ever since ME1. ME3 had problems far beyond the nonsensical ending  but the last mission and the ending just highlight how bad they have become at writing plots. It wasn't down the toilet, it was all the way down in the septic tank!

haha I'm sure you're fine Roaming! there's half-ranting short comments, and then there's starting an all out riot.

I didn't mind the story writing in the 3 games, ME2 got my attention the most though, sadly.

 

It's like how I really like the zone quest chains in DAI , and the main story short as it was when many other people hate both. *shrugs*

Huh. You must be the only person I know that thought that although I wasn't too bothered by it.

I admit to actually enjoying it in the beginning. Was the only one out of my gaming friends that did and we discussed it a lot. It was after those conversations and then going back and playing ME1 where I was like "Wait, what? Well....that ending did suck."
