so WOW just found out someone has hacked my swtor account, changed the email and everything so the only way I can get it back is sending their support an email with a photo of my ID.. *insert a hundred swear words here*

 

Edit: this same thing happened to my origin account except origin has a better system where an email was sent at the time of email change allowing me to click a link de-aurothorising that particular account details change. swtor doesn't do that.

 

No swtor for me unless I make a new account. never been so pissed off at EA before, lol.. well swtor is a Bioware game so Bioware get your act together on the email stuff like EA does! solves all my problems easily that does when accounts get hacked

I easily fixed my origin account with a somewhat long phone call when the password, email, account details (name, country etc) were all changed. Easily fixed because Origin auto-sends an email with a link allowing you to de-authorise an email address change (and password change etc) if it wasn't you who did that. SWTOR doesn't send this improtant auto-email about account changes and cancelling them. I got my Origin account re-secured and fixed up but swtor is , I believe, still under my original hackers' control.

 

Please note: this original hack happened early March this year. I thought it was solely my origin/ea accounts. sadly swtor is a different account server even though it's connected to ea accounts - I created my swtor account before the game was released, my account there is not the same as my ea one as that merge happened afterwards, makes it worse lol. And I don't have a camera so can't photo my ID (and edit out the id number) to get my account back.

Worst part is I'm more upset over losing all the unique-can't get anymore items I've collected since swtor's release then anything else.

The account is hard-locked now. No-one can access it anymore until I send the id pic to support with my ticket number to prove it's my account and get it unlocked that way so problem one fixed. They could have used my saved card details to buy something on it but didn't , they did that on my origin but not swtor. I check transactions haha that's how I found out about the hack to start with, 1 day after it happened.

Looks like I'm getting ready to invest my time into Star Wars: The Old Republic again. Hoping to finish this ME1 run and grab the Shadow Broker dlc for me2 first, then its mmorpg time. You guys may see less of me when I start up swtor, I tend to get lost in that game for hours, if not days, at a time.

It's ok! I'm not leaving properly until I've finished ME1/Me2 ! and probably not ever, just won't be online as often once I boot up swtor. Decided to take over my bf's inactive account instead of buying everything again. He has 2 accounts, 1 of which has all the expansions so far courtesy of me trying to get him to play again. lol.
