Well...sh*t. I'd be surprised if it wasn't the first time this happened.

Oh, no! It certainly wasn't.

1st Slumber Party, Dance party, now this...

I need to show it to Paragon.

I have always found Russian culture to be fascinating.

Those I enjoy the most are usually profound happiness covered in a coat of tragedy... as if the authors thought that plain, open positivity would be not relatable enough, for the often harsh times their readers probably have endured. I think many make the mistake of brushing off Russian literature as catering to darkness and tragedy alone, but I cannot believe that's true. That is merely the starting point that makes it graspable & real.

You know, it's not unlike the blues music I adore. It's often a very sad theme, but the message is always a hopeful one.

At least, that's my interpretation from the few things I've come to know.

----

There is nothing obligatory in a natural reaction.

(You know, if we keep this up, we will be locked in eventually.)

Thank you, Dieb, it's so refreshing to hear.
I'm glad you understand it that way.

Because usually it's hard to explain, that, for example, "The Black Raven" (or "Black Crow", maybe you heard it), on surface it's a slow, gloomy song of dying soldier.
And it is gloomy, but it's not about death. It's about farewells, about parting in peace.

Or why "Crime & Punishment" has a happy ending (sort of), especially for Raskolnikov?

But yes! It is a happy ending!
You formulated it so well, it's about restoration and salvation through enduring, it's about free will, choices and consequences.
How to explain that through tragic, nasty, dark and gloomy Dostoevsky managed to highlight love, hope and beauty.
And, in rich variety of characters and fates of Dostoevsky's, we can so clearly see ourselves.
At least, when I read Dostoevsky's books they are resonate with me, even though it's hard to compare his time and people with modern life.

*drops the mic and goes to her corner *
---
(to be locked in with someone I can discuss Dostoevsky? There are worse fates, I'm sure.. but in spite of hypothetical nature of such outcome, we better not let Donk catch a wind of it.  B) )

Speaking of that movie, my sister went to see it and said my general demeanour reminded her a lot of that guy. I hope that's a compliment in some parts of the world.

It's compliment in this part of the world.

Not the sunglasses?

I CAUGHT HIM DISPLAYING AN EMOTION THAT ISN'T BOREDOM! Is the bored streak finally over?

Ok, this smirk almost placed lil bro on the same level as Stache. He is growing

PS I don't believe I finally finished this post. RL! Stop distracting me from important things!!

Don't think I have played a male character in 5 years when given a choice. Something about having basically the face that looks back at me in the mirror on a character I'm playing makes me go
nope.gif

I've tried making male characters of different skin colors but they end up looking like, well, really tanned Caucasians that look a good deal like me. I call this the self-image rubberband effect :P

I try to keep it about 50/50.  That's sometimes a struggle because, to be quite frank and shallow about it, I'd rather see a fine feminine heinie when running along rather than that fat monstrosity that is B.A. Adaar's butt.

I have no memory of the dance party. None. None at all. Nope. "Error. File name does not exist."

Dat smirk was something for sure. ;)

The person who sent it has one post to that username, so who knows who it really is.  General opinion on this is they want to use this oh-so-reasonable sounding idea of making everyone in the game choose-able by the player to not very subtly eliminate character traits the don't like.  I think we can all guess which ones they are thinking of.

What did you reply with?

Well:

Just finished watching Jupiter Ascending. It's... not exactly what I thought it would be. It's not a bad watch but I don't think I will see it again. But, it did have an ending which made me smile a little, which is always nice. I love a happy ending.  :)

So, what did I miss?

Pushing for completely unreasonable levels of customization with a thinly veiled undertone of wanting to erase stuff that offends him? Being insistent about it. Sounds Brevnub to me. Delusional is his middle name.

I know the feel, man...

I don't know which version to buy though. PS4 and miss the mods or risk playing like s*** on PC (don't know if my laptop will handle it).

I want too, badly , but I refuse to pre-order it.
Not after Batman's recent PC-release fiasco.
BW should breathe more freely now, someone raised the bar for "bad PC-port" title.

Mods are great, but then I have never played a Bethesda game on PC so I can't really comment on whether I enjoy them or not. Though I can say I enjoy the games without the mods.  :P

Bethesda games are, to my knowledge anyway, always pretty brilliant on PC. I don't see why that would stop now with Fallout 4.

What was bad with PC Batman?

Don't be shy, Lyn!

We loved your performance, we (you, more accurately speaking) should do this again sometime.

You haven't heard? It's broken. Like, "closing sale in Steam" broken.
Don't work with AMD graphic cards, with Nvidia you are getting steady 1-10 FPS...
In short, PC release is officially suspended by Warner Bros.
