I had to do a double-take. I was thinking, that aint Aveline! But of course, it's Assassin's Creed and I don't play those games.. although Black Flag looked interesting.
So it is true -- I was told that The Witcher 3's combat style was similar to AC's. Just from watching that, I understand now.

Three AC's that I have found worth playing through: AC3 (revolutionary era America, native American protag), AC: Liberation (as shown above, black creole woman protag in French New Orleans and Louisiana territory.) and AC4 ( PIRATES! NAVAL COMBAT! BOOTY! CARRIBEAN!). The combat is just as fluid as it is in witcher 3

But as I am a loyal and patriotic American, into the "harbor" it goes!!

I've played AC, and AC2, ACB and ACR. I'm technically in the middle of AC3. One day I'll get back to it, I'm sure. They're fun but the heights and leaps and stuff do sometimes freak me out a bit!

I really liked Assassins Creed. I liked Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood but didn't really like Revelations (or maybe it's the other way around and I didn't like Brotherhood but I can't be sure exactly). Assassins Creed 3 was interesting, but definitely not my favourite. Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag is by far my favourite so far. You can't go wrong with a good pirate game! Unity was dogsh*t. (Haven't played Rogue because obvious reasons). I'm really looking forward to Syndicate though. Victorian London! I have been waiting for that since AC:2!

I've been reading the 'how long was your first playthrough' thread for DAI and mine was about 230 hours, my first for any game is the longest and most complete. So I started to wonder how long I've been playing W3, but there's no way to tell on PS4. Bummer.

It doesn't show up in the save file, how many hours you've put in?
I can't recall. I was too busy having a blast, but I'm giving it a rest until the expansion/s come out.

I've taken a break from it as well. Hadn't even kept up on the free DLC, so I decided to have a look at what was out now, yesterday. Triss got a new outfit!

No, it just shows the hour of the day you saved it (I think). In the character menu it gives it in days, hours and minutes which doesn't help. I wanted to compare with DAI because I'm nowhere near the end and I'm pretty sure I've put more hours in already.

Yeah I downloaded that one last week, I think. Haven't actually seen it in game though, since I'm still in Velen with my second playthrough. But it's there and ready to be played, when the new stuff comes out.
Game was amazing but sweetmotheroffuck, very overwhelming. ![]()

Ah. I think it would be safe to assume you have put in more hours, considering all the extra cut scenes and content in the side quests, as opposed to DA:I's.. Also factor in, how often do you use time travel? How much time do you spend just exploring and finding loot, etc?

Totally agree with the last sentence, I've had to take a break for some mind-numbing Harvest Moon on 3DS. I downloaded Triss' new outfit, she looks hawt but my Geralt has decided to blow her off in favour off Jen. Since I didn't play the other 2, I'm going for his first and greatest love apparently. Must admit I felt like a sh*t heel in the maze turning her down.

You're making the right decision though.
It's clearly designed in favour of Yen. There is more romance content, and makes more sense cause Geralt and Yen play mama and papa to Ciri.
I caved in to Triss.
She was all dressed up, smoking hot and slightly drunk, acting all cute and shite. I couldn't say no. ![]()

I regretted not going with Yennefer in my first playthrough, especially after her quest. Made me feel like an a*s... So I've decided to go with Yennefer for my next playthrough, though Triss' new outfit might make that difficult...

I guess, but I haven't even attended the wake of King Bran yet! Plus, I'm so anal about clearing up those white question marks
I took on a spider-thing (forget its name) 10 levels higher than me the other day, took me 3 attempts and ages to kill it in the end. God it was fun.

Jeezuzfuck 10 levels above? You mad? How'd you manage that?
Whenever I try to pull that off my arse gets obliterated straight away. That's probably because I'm not a fan of using the shield sign.. what's it called, Quen?
You know what's hard? That Wild Hunt general, in that quest where Kiera Metz accompanies you. I swear the final battle is easier than that one ![]()
