Will someone tell me why my almost 30yo boyfriend is watching the cartoon spiderman tv show on netflix and thinks it's so awesome? I don't get it..

I'm an almost 30 year old who will watch anything if the story is good. I love amazing storytelling. But it's hard for me to go back and watch certain 90s cartoons. I did watch the newest Sailor Moon out of nostalgia and felt like my childhood was violated. And with that said,I will admit to watching Japanese Animation because I've seen some beautiful artwork. In fact, I'd felt rather connected to Barakamon because the story involves an artist who wanted to rediscover himself. The scenes are just gorgeous and the story felt like it could have made a wonderful live action adaption. But... I view life in a very different way... I embrace all the things. Well, almost.

 

Is that the janitor dude? I haven't seen the show in ages.

I love watching anime. Some of it can be very warped and rather mature..

 

Best I've seen so far is Claymore. I find there are some brilliant storytelling.. and the animation itself is beautiful.

I'm very, very picky about any animation in general. I do love Studio Ghibli, but the guy puts a lot of effort into his work. It's the story-telling that gets me.

I've seen it, and loved the story. I just wished the boy that followed Clare around got to beef up more. I was honestly hoping for a plot twist with him, or a better conclusion, but nope. I stilled enjoyed it though. I saw a lot of interesting parallels with Claymore and Grey Wardens.

Everybody is different. But I just can't get um... sexually aroused, or horny, for somebody I don't like. She could be hotter than Anna Silk, and I still wouldn't.

Totally agree with you, and sometimes dry spells are a welcome relief, but at the same time I find there are some negative side affects to not having sex for a long time.

 

I start going mad after about 9 months.
