Discussing political issues is illegal here. As is spamming.. which I supposedly did last night, when I made that "HoF in Andromeda? Thoughts?" thread, and was given a warning point.. (yet the other 500 hundred parody threads are still up, go figure.)

M'dear, this same thing nearly caused me to delete my entire medievalist FB profile. I wanted to add folks, make friends I could meet up with at events, and have a grand ole time sipping actual home-brewed mead and feasting on all-day-roasted pig. Instead I became too pissed off at the sheer hate people throw each other's way, with no regard to respecting another's beliefs. I just wanna live my life, ya know? The only causes I make posts about are about real things that matter. As well as the stupidest, most entertaining nonsense I can find. I wonder if that's why I never get any FB likes...

Instead I became too pissed off at the sheer hate people throw each other's way, with no regard to respecting another's beliefs. I just wanna live my life, ya know? The only causes I make posts about are about real things that matter. As well as the stupidest, most entertaining nonsense I can find. I wonder if that's why I never get any FB likes...

I joined up cause it was easier to keep in contact with people that way, people that lived in different towns, etc.

 

Then I came to realise it just wasn't worth it -- there's a whole high school clique mentality going on there, which I despise. I stopped using it (won't say delete because you never actually get rid of your account. You go through the steps to delete it, then to go back it's as simple as putting in your login details and you're back at the click of fingers..)

 

If people wanna stay in contact with me, they have my phone number. If they don't.. then they're not real friends. Meh, I will get over it. I've had enough experience in my life to know who's a bullshit artist and who matters.

I have been told i am one of the most unreachable people. I have a mobile phone, next to noone has the right number (I don't know what my phonenumber is) not that it matters since it is very rarely actually charged. It's off and flat 99% of the time. I have an email I never check, don't use facebook etc.. I mean seriously, I have a mailbox, send me a letter ! hahaha

I have family overseas. I am often the go-between since my mom doesn't fancy the idea of joining, and I can't blame her. But I keep a second one around just for the medieval fun. I really only use it to RSVP to events and keep up to date on what's going on. Otherwise I email or text/call. It was annoyed when I had "friends" who wanted to hold full convos via text. I see it as the email of phones. I'll get back when I'm able; it's not IM.

 

Oh its not that, not tonight anyways. lol.  Sometimes it is that.  

Eh, I was seeing that every. friggin. day. It's always "I hate these peoples." "We should accept everyone" then 3 hours later, "These people should go to hades!!" Yeah, great way to show your true colors. What's ironic is people who had been openly friendly to my face also actively hate whatever beliefs I happen to hold.

 

Anyway, I need Ale-ed. Screw that, I need half a bottle of Jack, black label.

I don't have facebook.  Or twitter.  Or myspace.  Or google+ (though they sure keep trying to trick me into that one.)  My social media consists of BSN and email.

Probably because I subscribe to a bunch of political stuff and like half my friends are probably my exact opposite political ideology, and I even ****** off the people I happen to agree with a lot of the time.  *drink*
