Oh yes, still very much a beginner but I love cooking.

I can't wait for the food replica to be invented.

If you haven't tried it before, then you won't know what the difference is. Experiment.

(This coming from the guy who doesn't make much of an effort to try any new foods.)

Oh gosh, darling, some recipes and proteins you just don't **** around with.

I'll stick to my library of cookbooks, thank you!

I need an aussie!

When they're cooking pigeon on Master Chef, that's not the same bird you see on city streets, right? Like it's not the same bird as a New York grey pigeon??

Well it is pigeon. My best guess is it would likely be rock dove (feral pigeon, first pic) or Wood pigeon, both common here in the wild and domesticated. Of course raised and killed on a certified bird farm so it was safe meat for human consumption.

I'm thinking the closest we've got in Canada then in squab. Hrm... It may still work in porcini ravioli...

*shudders at the thought of someone eating a city pigeon* They're not known as flying rats for nothing. The amount deformities they exhibit is a testament to the healthiness of city living.

I've had pigeon, duck, pheasant and ptarmigan dishes. My favourite was pheasant.

Yes I'm quite happy eating all sorts of birds, provided they're farm raised...

Food replicators instantaneously materialize any food it is programmed to create.

I once had the most beautiful pheasant dish when I was in puerta vallerta. It was garnished with a cream sauce and pomegranate seeds, and it was just divine.

Duck is still my favourite poultry though.

Oh. I take it you don't enjoy cooking then? I'd miss making things myself.

Sure, but I've never watched star trek and know nothing about it except the name. So of course the one thing I've heard food replicator in would be the first thing I think of.

I enjoy cooking some things and I enjoy cooking...actually I think I do.  Just that its hard to find the time sometimes or make the effort and then get the ingridients, especially where I am living now.  Give me instant Spaghetti any old day.  Tomato soup and PB & J.  Pizza.  French Toast Sticks hmmmmm hmmmmmm *mouth waters.*  All the things I have not had in ages.  Well I have had pizza recently.

Oh ewww. No instant sauces for this girl. Canned tomato sauce is disgusting, and instant spaghetti sauce is even worse. *shudders*

...Well presumably the replicator can make the real food if you so chose.  But I have heard, one of the common complaints about replicators in universe is that the food does come out a little bland.

Sorry, no offense darling. We all have different tastebuds. I'm a weirdo, I mean I love brusselsprouts and asparagus mroe than any other vegetable, amd I hate blueberries.

I'm just a bit of a food snob, don't mind me. <3

Its amazing I am a really picky eater really conservative and set in my ways, though my pallet has been increasing more of late then not and I won't down right refuse food anymore.  But I tried Aspargus for the first time on the fourth, thought I would hate it, but it was whoa. :o.  Awesome.  Very tasty.

That did sound bad didn't it?  lol.  I don't even like Trek that much.  None of the shows are in my tier 1 shows.  Maybe Insurection is a Tier 1 movie.  Actually some of the movies could qualify.
