Possibly. It seems the ladder disappears after you disable the Forts defenses. I went back to an early save before I did and low and behold the ladder was there, but when I disabled the defenses and checked back, it was gone.

I should go back to farm power for What Pride Had Wrought but now I feel like using a shotgun more than a bow...

Spent most of today checking the gear and packing. Arse end of nowhere is a bad place to find out you've forgotten the toilet paper. But as of now, both the pack and the chestrig are ready. Getting a lift tomorrow to the starting area and setting off early Tuesday morning. This is going to be fun.

(*) - Yeah, that was a **** up of a bad idea, blowing it off yesterday for a nap.  It was already hotter and muggier today than it got all day yesterday.  Amazing that just a few days ago, I was thanking Canada for a cold air mass.  Now I curse Texas for this hot crap.  But oh well.  Grass, your donkey is mowed.
