Haven't been around much today - I trust you all are alive & well, the tavern burned to the ground less than twice?

I kind of relapsed into Thief again. Nothing brings the odd combination of pacifist and eternal rogue-afficionado that dwells within me more satisfaction, than robbing an entire jewlery store blank to the last trinket absolutely unseen; and taking the guard on duty's purse on the way out.

Ugh, Artificer. I really do not like that spec. Bit odd going from a mage that almost cannot run out of mana and spamming spells to least fav rogue spec. *drink*

To my Artificer friends out there, I'm sorry, I just can't Artificer.

Opportunity Knocks, full stop.

Combined with Looked Like It Hurt (Sabotage tree), they turn Leaping Shot into your instant-skill-recharger. Hilariously so, since it will also recharge itself. Any multi-hit skill works, but if I'm in a really foul mood with an enemy, I just alternate between Throwing Blades & Leaping Shot until they stop twitching. I mean "alternate", as in "not using basic attack anymore".

The mines are nice, and I do love Fallback Plan, but OK paired with LLIH is so ridiculously gamebreaking, it's silly. It only makes sense on an Archer though, so there's that.

(It is also understood that I full acknowledge certain playstyles simply do not swing with certain people. View this as me defending my strategical waifu)

All this rogue talk warms my soul.

Speaking of rogues, I've hopped the KoA bandwagon, and naturally I created one. Somehow taking screenies turned me to doing a "caption this" with first impressions. So far my character is a red-headed Filipina. In fact, she almost looks like my aunt. I think it's the glorious cheekbones.

Question: Should I post my captioned goodness here, or create a new thread in the Stardome? I'm happy I finally know what the heck that is.

You're welcome to do both! I regularly post dual posts between here and there.

Just if you make a stardome thread, make the title snappy and all caps. :)

*Beren frantically consults HIS dictionary now to see what the hell he apparently said*

A cowering rabbit's tail?  Man, that sounds better in Shakespearean verse.  That is indeed, by the way, a very pretty floral bonnet.  If you're gonna end me, can you do me the courtesy of necromancing me back afterwards??  I'm too damned bald sexy to be dead forever.

*drinks to endings and new beginnings*

ETA:  Wait...  That is so not what your post was when I was replying!

ETA 2:  HA!  Browser cache retains evidence of your post editing!  *Rushes off to find Officer Donk*

The spec doesn't mesh with my play style. I applaud those that can make it work.

Hmmmmm. I'll start with a handful. If Ash, the Grand Cleric of the Kingdom, is well pleased, I shall post more.

Edit: For those who don't know, I jumped the KoA bandwagon. Curiosity got to me.

Glad you all like them! I got the game over the weekend and settled down to it Sunday evening. When I watched the intro, I had a lot of LotR deja vu moments. Just replace the elves with Fae, substitute Sauron, and add a dash of Messiah complex. Literally. You even rise from the dead. Speaking of which, I saw this just before I met the mad scientist.

so Shakespearean insulter .. what could go wrong?

"Wherein [art thou] good, but to taste sack and drink it? Wherein neat and cleanly, but to carve a capon and eat it? Wherein cunning, but in craft? Wherein crafty but in villainy? Wherein villainous, but in all things? Wherein worthy but in nothing?"

I now have a headache. and yeah, that's not very nice..

Well Hughes guy was trying to bring souls back from death, so the lotus/rebirth makes sense. I love one particular line in the intro. something like "all hope was lost. and then you died", I know, not exact words but close enough. Cracks me up every time that me dying might just save the world. *chuckles*

Alright got a few hours before kid is home again, might be able to split it between KoA and DAi :D , both Cookie and Kirra need to reach Haven. Asha needs to go kill some bandits in the plains in KoA too.

I had to buy a cheap new keyboard because kiddo lost half the keys from our second one so we've been sharing 1 keyboard between 2 computers and it was getting frustrating. I hate getting used to new keyboards..

*bleep* , forgot how many I've still got here..

*knuckles down to browse through 15 Inquisitors to find the one she's looking for, name forgotten*

edit: *throws hands in air, curses and deletes half of them*

Only Kyrrah, Kirrah, Kirra and Cookie left standing. Much easier, even with the odd one out (my elf)

Ugh.  Had a massive brain fart moment and forgot to do custom instead of express installation of my nvidia drivers.  Now having to uninstall GeForce Experience, 3D vision drivers, 3D vision controller drivers, and  HD audio drivers.

...  And of course now I have to reboot.   I hate brain farts :(

I was thinking, no one in the drinkquisition identifies themselves as a dwarf. Does this make the DQ racist? :P Cabot doesn't count, he's an NPC.

When I heard the words, "And then, you died." I just sat there, had a Jesse Cox exaspiratory moment, then was speechless until the dwarves started talking about how well "my" body was preserved for being dead. Then there was talk of cloning and transferring my soul to the new body. I instantly thought of that Doctor Who episode where the "skin" goop was alive. I mean, what if all the old bodies decide to reanimate?
