We'd lose more than we gain. If we removed ourselves from all the natural forces of the universe, we'd lose who we are in the process. We'd become nothing more than mindless drones simply built to seek out the next improvement. We'd no longer need to eat, sleep or breathe. We'd no longer need to do the simply human functions that have governed us since we were nothing more than bacteria. We would no longer be human, if you cut out the very thing that made us what we are.

As opposed the mindless drones simply built to pass on our genes as we are now? Which, in effect, does the same thing in service is of biological evolution. We were once great apes but by a random act biological evolution we climbed down from the tree. Yet we do not mourn the fact that we are no longer apes. We became something more and can become something even greater.

Hmm... I don't like it. Every time I get into one of these things, I usually always hurt someone. Sure, it's a discussion now, but it will eventually turn into an argument (about something that is only an idea right now).

 

I think I'm going to end my involvement in this conversation here. Sorry pal, but I don't want to antagonise you or anyone else.

One 5-minute typing test, one 30 question Word skills test, and one 30 question Excel skills test.

 

Pretty sure I did well enough, but my system really hated that it was Oracle/java based, so I had a lot of false starts and issues running the test. Hopefully they weren't counting how many times I had to press "re-answer question".

Well yeah, I use those programs, but I only had to do basics for the last two years. I haven't had to record macros since I graduated! 

 

Yeah, it's seeing if you can duplicate a document within a time limit without any errors.

It's in word, it's tying a specific phrase to a keyboard command. In this instance it was making a phone-number type itself out when you hit Alt-B. 

 

I think I did fine, but I don't think I got my top score.

So many thanks guys  Aw Poodle, I just saw your av   I noticed that people put them up but please you don't have to do it.  Phew, SQ next and then on my list is Roaming, Dazzle, Verse as I have a bit of a 'handle' on you guys.  Foley, I rather see as Ben so you'll have to confirm for me Foley and then I have some updates and completions.  Maybe I'll get round to the comic (must consult lead writer - hehehe).  Now I'm going to bed because I'm shagged and Dazzle - good luck with your job.
