Yes, I knew what post of mine you were quoting. I kinda saw that. I hit upon my own solution: Kill everything. And there were no stairs in this particular cave, which is also what lost me in your initial post. Definitely make more sense now because I had no idea why you would get on your horse in a cave.

 

Ah, sorry then.  Bad assumption on my part as that's only happened to me (but happens every time) on that one cave on the Storm Coast,
