You know, one of my favourite bits of text you can find in Mass Effect 3 is the "List of recent purchases by Zaeed Massani." Knowing he's going to fight the Reapers with Jessie is kinda nice.

Jessie is his gun that he had to retire. He gives a heartwarming story about her in Mass Effect 2.
The most heartwarming bit is when talking to Zaeed on illium, on Assassins. He says he likes the killing jobs the least, and he also takes a good hard look at every contract. He doesn't agree to kill anyone, "because then they just become a name on a list".
That was where I really began to... well, or rather where I stopped feeling guilty for thinking he's cool, matter of fact. He's always on my team, primarily because his interjections are the only ones that never make me cringe. That's not because he doesn't have a lot to say, it's more because it's actually pretty hard to argue with most of his opinions during missions. I get why a lot of people find him clichée and bland, but that is because his most profound dialogue/monologues are found in scenic banter and during priority missions; to which he rarely gets in most people's games.
P.S.: I loved that Ash basically kept his skills for ME3. Bonus moment in Citadel, when I got to have a simulator team made of Zaeed and Ash.
