Well, umm, I wasn't thinking.
By "choices" can I assume these will be obvious smack you in the face situations that I'll know is one of those moments I'll want to save for posterity with a whack on the ol' F12 (steam screenshot key for you console peasants) or should I just take a screenshot every time I choose going straight vs turning right?
ETA: Eh... do I need to set up this "square enix account" I see as a thing on the options menu? I'll hold off playing until I hear back. Not really keen on needing a special account beyond the one for Steam, but if it is necessary, I'll do it. In the meantime... Down with Ulfric, you killer of kings!
You don't need to have an SE account I don't think, I know I didn't create one and Dienne is right, at the end of each episode there is a stats screen which shows what choices you made compared to other players (which I assume is info uploaded/downloaded if you are online). Actually, I found that if I was offline the game locks if it can't detect the licence. I'll have to download screenies to usb as I'm not on facebook or twitter. Have fun with it, mate.

So Assassins Creed Unity is actually pretty good.
with or without the co-op? the only reason I changed my mind about buying Unity was because they were marketing the heck out of co-op and I assumed it was a requirement to completely finish the game and since I don't have any console-online friends it didn't sound like the game I could play.
Nah, the story is single player only. Co-op is only required for a few dedicated missions, and I've completed it without doing any of them. Co-op isn't required.
Thankfully, Assassins Creed Syndicate has no multiplayer feature whatsoever. They can't market towards that so it should bring more players back to the franchise. After all, the franchise should remain single player only.
still, there's missions you can't do without it so the completionist in me is going to rage. *sigh* good to know I can finish the main story at least single player, so might go back and check it out. Too much co-op marketing prior to release was the only thing stopping me after I got right into AC3 and AC4, loved both of them and always prefer single player games.
Syndicate the most recent one released? or the one being made?

Yeah, that's one thing that's bugging me. Just the big fat 0's in the progress chart. Annoying.
Syndicate is the newest one being made. It'll be released fairly soon. Early next year I think. It's set in Victorian London which'll be amazing! And there are two Assassins you can play as. Brother and Sister, both with individual skills that you can use.
you have Unity on console yeah?
I'm going to have to go check out this Syndicate game
Assassin's Creed is the only franchise where I check stuff out before it's released. Went into DA series (every game) completely blind and had a blast, but AC is a little different game style lol.

I understand that. With some of the previous release titles, I myself am a little wary about picking up the new games.
Syndicate is the only AC game that looks appealing to me. I have this thing for Victorian era London. I've watched my brothers play all of them, just never interested to play them myself.
Ugh, two months until pumpkin carving season and I have no ideas for what I'm going to carve. Damnit. Cabot, ale me.
I only really got into the second half of AC3 and all of AC4 , haven't touched Unity as stated, and I think another mini-game was released not long after it? I keep an eye on trailers and more professional reviews before buying the AC games it's a good franchise but a few games have problems. I play them all on the playstation (3 and 4)
*ponders game series she's enjoyed*
You guys got me into Mass Effect, Dragon Age is a big favourite of mine. Some Assassin's Creed games I liked, Sims 1-3 but disliked 4, Patrician 3 and 4 I liked. Most games I play are one-off, not series, sadly.

Yeah. I can't remember what's called but you play as a Chinese Assassin. It's a platform game.
Same goes for me. The second half of AC3 was alright. First half was boring as f*ck! AC4 was flipping amazing! Easily the best one so far.

Play Catherine. Unless you don't like playing as a dude, then don't play Catherine. But if that's cool, play Catherine. It is a platform puzzle game though.
I really struggled to get through the first part of AC3, which is a shame as the rest was entertaining. Definitely think AC4 is their best so far. I hope they figured that out and are checking how to improve on some of it in the future. However, I enjoyed sailing my ship around a little bit too much.. including a running jump, grab rope, swing and dive to get off it...
I've heard of Catherine..

I think they have. They've gone back to single player, though that's not to say the next one won't either. But, it does look like they have learnt their lesson and are putting everything into Syndicate, with a heap of new mechanics, as well as new ways to get around (you can drive carts around the city now). It looks good. Still, wary is good.

Awesome, I loved riding my horse around in AC3 (AC2 had horses but I think it was solely when outside the cities), then my customizable ship in AC4, now carts?! I need to go check the info released so far after I finish exploring the Emerald Knights Tomb. Good that they realized jumping on the multiplayer bandwagon wasn't a good fit for AC lol, hopefully that lesson sticks, I heard enough bad stuff about Unity after it's release but I do still want to give it a go, maybe if it goes on sale lol.

Yeah, horses needed to stay around. Not a single one in Unity.

Blasphemy! the horses in AC2 and AC3 were rather decent for trekking around with!
Coming from a person who uses horses in any game offering them.. Including DAI when not gathering materials in already completed areas.
Also why I wish I could into enjoying the Witcher 3, for the horse.. sadly still not interested in it to play more then 5 minutes. One day *sighs*

One day. *nods*
Why exactly don't you want to play W3?

It's not that I don't want to play it, I paid 120 bucks for it *mutters darkly* , it's that when I boot it up I just can't get interested enough to actually play, I run around in a circle and turn it off. I haven't gotten further then.. geez the very bloody start of it. Haven't even gotten to the actual game yet I don't think lol, actually 100% sure I haven't, probably be better if I did.
I think I can't get interested to play it because they once again started The Witcher off with a naked woman in the first room :lol:I'll ge tover it when I'm in the mood to play it, just like I did with TW2 (which I did really enjoy). I'm finicky when it comes to what games I find interesting at any given time. changes weekly lol.

That's fair.
Well, it's not one of those games that you absolutely have to play immediately.

-Same for me (just add female protagonist to Victorian London).
-Maybe Solas?

I didn't see this, sorry. Yeah, Victorian London is one of my favourite historical periods. The only thing that tops it is the French Revolution, which was one of the reason why I felt really disappointed with Unity at first.
