Ahhh! I officially love Netflix! Okay, so Much/MTV wasn't able to renew Degrassi for whatever reason, so to keep the show from getting cancelled Netflix and Family bought out Degrassi and are rebranding it Degrassi: Next Class! 

 

This is so exciting! I've been watching this show since I was a pre-teen and it's been running since the 80s! I'm so, so glad it's getting saved!!

Yup. I'm a little torn about the games setting going from the subtle, 'stifling creeping societal control' setting that applies to real life to full on cyberpunk but i'll roll with it. There looks to be human enhancement elements in the game (I'll eat my hat if the asian lady in the white coat isn't augmented up to her eyeballs. Just look at how she moves and punches  ) and thats always a bonus with me

She seems very fluid and natural to me. Mixing parlour into your fighting style would come of like how's it depicted there in the game.

Damn auto correct! Yeah, parkour. It's all about momentum. It's the basis for what parkour is and how it's done. Mixing it in with combat allows for that momentum to be used in the fighting itself. Kicks that send people of their feet etcetera are more likely to happen if you have something behind you adding that extra force. No augmentation required.

And look how she punches that black-ops dude who is wearing a HARD MASK: She just swings her arm, doesn't put her weight in to it at all or do any of the tricks that multiply a punches power. Yet it is like a hammer blow. That's the way i would expect someone whose joints, bones and muscles are something other than flesh and blood and weights quite a bit more than anyone around her to punch    Can't wait for the game

To back this up, that lab equipment looked like it was for human testing. Lay them on the surface and the instruments start injecting whatever it is to create a super soldier. In order to see if it will work, why not test it on your administrative aid first?

I was thinking the same thing. Otherwise Faith wouldn't be all "What are they doing here?!" when she walks in to the lab whose purpose is pretty obvious to anyone who has played Deus Ex    Just don't call the corporate enforcer with superhuman strenght "administrative assistant", she might get cranky      

Kinda getting a Syndicate reboot vibe from the game too. Superhuman corporate agents running about in long coats roflstomping people and all. Plust that this particular corporate agent reminds me a lot of agents Strong&Webb from the final fight of Syndicate:

I finally got what that short exchange reminded me of. Pretty much every fight between Tx and Arnold from Terminator 3.

 

Too bad for Mr. BlackOps that his hardware wasn't quite up to par with Kruger enhancements
