I think someone tweeted and asked which of our companions would make the best Grey Warden, and now I can't stop worrying that they are going to use the Taint as a plot device in the DLC. I really hope it doesn't happen...

Not afraid at all. this is DLC that can be played anytime after Skyhold is found so they can't change characters like that which are in the main game. DLC doesn't impact the main game at all (in DA2 or DAI that is so far)

 

I'd think different if it was post-game only DLC but it's not.

I was thinking that it would be a 'rush to find a cure or find the wardens to save them' kind of thing, then they wouldn't die and we wouldn't lose a party member. But now that I think about it, it seems pretty unlikely that they would go that route. I think it would be an interesting plot twist though, especially if it was Blackwall.

So I got the Hakkon dlc.
I like the Avvar just as I always have, a fact that suprises absolutely no-one. Funny coincidence is that they seem to have much the same views on gods as my own faith. A text about some orlesian yob not understanding the point of food offerings made me smile.
I have managed to avoid clicking the stupid interrogative options so far. A dalish elf would bloody well know the significance of a totem animal without asking about it and would understand the intricacies of tribal life in general and inter-tribal relations.
Too many goddamn fade rifts. My inquisitor is indestructible but its still a chore.
The environment seems a bit too tropical to be high up in the mountains where people wear fur.
Spiders. Give it a rest, bw.

Overall, the Avvar are what sells it to me. Makes up for the main story being pretty meh.
