I don't remember to much about it. Last time I watched it was a good many years ago. I do remember though that my favourite Digimon is definitely Gabumon!

To be honest, I am really liking Windows 10.  This coming from someone who got Windows 8 for right off the bat, stuck with it hoping 8.1 would improve things, it didn't, rolled back to Windows 7 which I absolutely love, and had been on 7 ever since.  Windows 10 -is- different  than Windows 7, sure, and it takes some getting used to, but it's been great so far.  My boot up times are better, my available memory is better and I don't have to reboot almost daily to deal with that anymore (*).

 

Couple of issues I have with Win 10 is, yes, its desire to basically hang me out to dry as far as security and privacy are concerned.  You just have to make sure you look for the almost hidden options to disable sharing crap, disable auto-connecting to open wireless, etc.  The options are all there, just sometimes hard to find.  Also, help.  There are no integrated local help files like previous windows had.  You try to do help and it sends you to Bing.  That's frakked up beyond belief and crappy cheap of them.  "Hey, screw you peon, here's an OS, but frak you on getting a manual, be it in print or even digital within the OS.  Why?  Because we're Microsoft and we know you're going to use our system regardless, so f-u and bend over."

 

*Beren remembers back in the day when (and he still has  these btw) DOS came with manuals hundreds of pages thick with detailed command usage for every command that existed*   *Beren also remembers when RPGs were real RPGs and made you roll dice.  None of this electronic crap*   *Beren also remembers when girls were girls and men were men, boy that makes you wish for someone like Herbert Hoover again.  Those were the days.*

 

(*)  Something, somewhere was leaking memory and I could never track it down to figure out just what combo of apps I had running was causing it.  Whichever ones they are, Win 10 memory management is clearly superior as I haven't really changed anything since the upgrade, but the system is a helluva lot better (at least based on the resource monitor) at reclaiming memory.  I could watch in Win 7 as that slowly crept to 0 throughout a computer session, at which point the damned thing would just freeze.

 

ETA:  Mega kudos to anyone who gets the old tv show reference I threw in this post...

Beren, where is that option to disable auto-connecting?

Whenever one of you guys finishes the DLC, can you tell me if it would be better to play it during the main story, or if it's fine to complete it after. What I mean is, does it feel like it adds to the main story (in which case playing it before completing the main story might be better) or if it feels very much seperate (in which case, after completing the main story, it acts as another side story like Golems of Amgarrak in DA:O)

I thought you meant a more hidden option. Yeah, I turned that off back when I installed Windows 10.

If those are off, you should not be connecting to open wireless networks unless you've manually chosen to do so.  Check the settings again just to be sure they're off...

I think it's stopped now anyway. I did double check before hand, and then reset my router just to be safe. Seems to have done the trick.

I don't think I'm going to carry on with Valeera. I skipped a lot of stuff, and did things I didn't really agree with (in the attempt to clear up tiles in the Keep but that didn't work so I just have the spoilers shown now) so I might do Josie's romance with Vella instead.
