Hmm, to me a lot of the Sidequests connected to what was happening in that particular zone at the time. Of course Emprise and Hissing Wastes did this the best. Exalted Plains had like 3 things happening at once which the sidequests were all about , well mostly about. Emerald Graves not quite as much other then Fairbanks.

There were some notable quests and some notable areas where I felt differently...it just is not as well executed as Witcher did it( imo)  But as far as it goes, the Emerald Graves Knight's Tomb Quest.  The Stuck in Time and Darkspawn Quests in the Western Approach.  And the entirety of the Emprise, Exalted Plains, and Hissing Wastes.

I can't tell you how good it was playing Kara again.     Running around Skyhold I was all.  "I missed you butt wiggle"

It can improve, and build on what's there. I just hope they check out different rpg's that also have such interestingly unique player characters like DA does for ideas, not the player character being one forced one for everyone. I mean even DA2 you could chose male/female, any class and their overly done personality out of 3 choices.

With the Witcher 3 it would have been much, much easier, only one player character to worry about, who has a set look, voice, personality etc giving them so much extra time to do all the quests to a higher level.

And don't worry (if you were) DA I is one of my favorite games too...probably said that like fifty times. Just rare running into someone who shares that opinion.  IT has its flaws, some of them you can fly battleships through.  But in total it is one amazing package.

So tomorrow I'm off on a train to Edinburgh to visit my brother, who's in hospital. I might be looking in on my phone (or laptop if I can wrangle the wifi) or I might not, so I guess we'll see what happens.

In the mean time, try not to spoil those of us without the DLC too much! I won't get anywhere near it for another week!

I wish they'd fix the qunari DLC so it works right for, y'know, qunari.

I want to bring Abaeni down, but I don't know if it makes more sense to bring Acantha because she's going through JoH. Does it matter if I do them seperately and not bring both characters through each DLC?

DLC are completely separate to the main game/story. you can do them, not do them, do one and not the other. whatever you like.

I think then I will take Abaeni to the roads then. And if it's an awesome story then I'll take my remaining three inquisitors to the DLC zones instead of to the main zones that I hate like the Exalted Plains (augh).

Thank you!  He had his surgery yesterday (eventually!) so he's just recovering from that now.

  You know, I was thinking the last couple of nights as I played B.A. again precisely the opposite.  "Ugh, this is why I play female characters.  Big, ugly, fat male ass in my face..."

 

Which I shall be rectifying tonight with Verana going into the deep roads since B.A. wasn't up to the challenge anyway.

It's entirely BSN's fault (and Inquisition's) that I want to play more female protagonists.  Certainly MEA will feature a female lead for me, unless something really sells me the other way.
