Sadly Descent didn't add any better gear sets (stat-wise) then what's already in the game, but there is some awesome looking stuff available from it. They did add dragon crafting materials to the vendor though.

Which dosen't exactly make sense.    But whatevs.

The no better gear part? it does make sense.. DLC. I mentioned back when JoH came out that they won't put better gear in DLC's then is available in the main game. Jaws' ones were comparable/on par though.

 

hmm actually let me kill this emissary and I'll check out my schematics from all areas to double check before I continue.

I was talking about all the Dragon stuff you run into...in the Deep Roads.

*sigh*  Why am I having such an issue with this tonight?  I meant all the materials down there.  You get to the Deep Roads and the first thing you find is a loot thing with 45 dragon things in it.

*sigh*  Why am I having such an issue with this tonight?  I meant all the materials down there.  You get to the Deep Roads and the first thing you find is a loot thing with 45 dragon things in it.  

 

right, you don't 'run into' it, it's at the Legion's camp, normal place to find materials for crafting I'd guess. and you can buy them too once camp is up. I didn't see it as odd, the dragon stuff is from main game. hehe

I wish I knew whether that was a yes or no.. Sadly my elvhen knowledge is rather.. poor to nonexistent. Human savage, right here haha

There is a loot container where you get Dragon materials...a lot of Dragon Materials...the Deep Roads is not exactly full of Dragons are they?

JoH refined coat > main game Superb Armour since it uses more materials to craft so all the numbers are higher. Didn't go through all the kinds of stats that can go on each though.

LoD Commander:  OK guys, Orzammar just sent us an awesome shipment of high grade Dragon Stuff.  It was given to us as a gift, so lets use it well.  Its in that bin over there.  

Random but eager LoD soldier:  *goes running over to bin, looks in it* ...but where is it? o.O

*INquisitor is getting ready to board elevator, face boardering on guilt and laughter.*

I'm sure it was there to give all players enough dragon materials to craft good armor. Not all of us have killed all the dragons or had the money to purchase any from the BE.

First run through, I ended with just shy of 1mill gold from Deep Roads junk only.
