I'll use mods when DAI is getting no more patches, ever. Until then, unmodded things! I could help you keep an eye out if I knew what style of elfy you were after. I need a good one mysel, but will likely spend 8 hours in CC trying to get one right. lol

 

I guess the guide would be "striking, different, gorgeous, not too generic".  After all, I can alter anything I want after the fact, as it were, like eye colour and hair and such.  It's mainly - well, entirely - the face, which I spose is obvious!

 

I mean, these look good but are modded.  And that's a pain.  And there's only sliders for one of them.

Herald's Rest was burned down and is still being furnished and is not open. So, no, I'm not in Sera's room. Why would I be?

It doesn't take long to make a character that you like the look off. I'm not sure why people spend hours in the CC, because making her only took me half an hour, getting her to the point where I'd be happy to take her into the game.

 

I shouldn't think it took me more than half an hour of fiddling around to settle* on Isileth either, so it may well be just a matter of tinkering.

 

 

* "settle" makes it sound like I was unhappy with the result - I was not entirely sold on her initially but she definitely grew on me before long!

But why?

Because they fidget and fuss over every detail and will go back mess with various sliders to see how they look if they change the eyes, or the nose, or what if I decide to change the complexion, or perhaps the face shape; well, I like this face shape, but now the eyes need to be adjusted. Takes me a couple hours in the CC before I'm satisfied with the look of my characters. Even after that it's right to the BE before going to the Hinterlands so I can make any adjustments that bothered me during the prologue. It might not take that long for you, that's great, but not everyone can do that.
