That's my feeling with DA 2. I enjoy DA 2 more but I recognize Origins is the Superior game...but I have a hard time calling Origins better then DA I...over all. In anything in fact. The only thing Origins did better was the side quests.
Well i can't play origins near as much as I play DAI so maybe my comment is proven incorrect according to personal tastes bahaha.
DAI: 1500-1600 hours played, not even out a year.
DAO: <300 hours played in 5 years..

The combat solely annoys the heck out of me. DA2/DAI win in that regard, I love fast action combat so much.

Witch Hunt was horrid but was a rather important bridge. More to Inquisition ironically enough.

But again to me DA O does almost nothing better compared to DA I. Except again Side quests. To me DA O will always be a Tier 3 game. Its alright but nothing I will wet my appetite over.

You know funny story I was never big into fantasy until Dragon Age. I mean I did the whole LOTR thing but that was my pretty much only 'high fantasy/ dark fantasy/ medeval fantasy' series that I really went for. When I could count probably a dozen sci fi franchises I just loved. But then DA came out. And now I am also a huge GoT fan.
That is funny. I was starting to get into the sci-fi genre because of Warframe. I'm a bit more open to it now. I also loved LOTR and GoT but no surprise there lol. I very much enjoy dark fantasy.

Yeah. DA and GoT has actually made me consider writing fantasy as my go to medium whereas again...before it was sci fi. i have like this huge sci fi series planned but I am really considering going into Fantasy. Fantasy is much more...maleable as a genre.

I'll stick to every now and then adding an odd bit or piece to Migrant Fleet Marine, and if I ever get that to 2186, I might try my luck at some DA. Or XCOM. I got an idea from the XCOM universe, about a guy coming back from the war. Also an idea from the DAverse, about Inquisition operatives - much the same thing as Sar'Neda is doing with the Fleet.
