I downloaded it about a month or two ago. I'm not sure I really like how they've balanced the servers. You can see which team is winning before picking. Try and join a losing faction and you aren't exactly in for a fun ride, unless you're with friends.

That's another thing! Takes the p*ss how long it takes for you to be able to get a new, decent weapon.

 

They're all mostly equal.

 

If you think your current weapon is crap, it's just not the right weapon for you - or for the job you're doing with it.

 

I mean, the standart-issue Terran TRAC-5 is a kick-ass weapon, and I still use a modified NC-2S instead of the standart-issue NC-2 Carbine. Same for Medic, I use the NC-1S instead of the NC-1. Then there's the NC6 Gauss SAW - or as our troops dubbed it, the GODSAW. As for the Infiltrator weaponry, well... We get the SAS-R and the NC-14 Bolt Driver. My SAS-R is mounting a 4x TrueShot, but my semi-auto rifles usually have the 4x LX Mark IV. My NC-14 has the standart Bolt Driver Scope 6x, or I can mount the IO-12 12x. For closer up, the 2x reflex is what I go for usually.

Still, the rifles I use the most are the AF-18 Stalker (fully automatic, you'd ee the SOAS-20 as the direct equivalent) or the AF-6 Shadow (semi-automatic variant, more punch) and newly the Impetus, based off the Gauss Special Purpose Rifle, that also mounts the smaller LX Mark IV.

 

Good guns, all of them. If you want an SMG, the Nanite Systems have an answer in the form of the NS-7 PDW, but you might be better off with the Armistice. For me, I regret not getting the Blitz or the Cyclone, which are my Empire Specific SMGs.

my weapon is Gauss-based. That's... very, VERY fast projectiles..? Make a LOT of mess...?
