Okay, so full story time, which isn't even all that interesting, just irritating.

 

Okay, so last y'all heard Alex got his wisdom teeth out, so I haven't seen him in about 2 weeks at this point. On monday morning we were texting - he wished me luck at my interview and told me he was having allergic reactions to his painkillers. I said to let me know if he needed anything and that hopefully he'd feel better later. 

 

To this moment I have not gotten a text, phone call, email, tweet, facebook message, or any other communication from him. He's not answered my two phone messages - one asking if everything was okay and if he was alive, the other one saying that we were over and to give me my bloody game back. 

 

Okay, on to the apartment story. I went to his place last night, there was no answer at the buzzer, so one of his neighbours let me in. I stood knocking at his door for about 5 minutes, called him and the call ended after two rings. I thought that was really weird, and maybe there was a glitch with my phone, so I called back, and it went straight to voicemail - which is when I left the "we're over" message.

 

I'd have thought he wasn't home, but I heard his email alert tone loud and clear through the door. I'd have thought that maybe he forgot his phone, but if that was the case it wouldn't have gone straight to voicemail. 

 

I think the worst part of this is that the moron has his read-receipts turned on! Ugh.

I know it's difficult, but if you leave before he answers the door, he will likely not open it again. The one victory will reinforce him. And you never know, an extra 5 minutes might be all you need.

Another idea! Do you guys have letterboxes in Canada? A hole in the door for letters and small parcels to fit through? If so, shout through that, and say that if he isn't going to answer the door, the least he could do is slip your game through the door.

 

The problem is that I've got two collies at home, and I can only stay so long. And if I stay too long that I get arrested then there's no one at home to take care of the dogs. 

 

I wish his apartment had a bloody letterbox. That would be great, actually useful.

I think, perhaps, it would be best if  the guys depart.  I'm sensing possibly arcane woman rituals on the wind that men should not be around to see.  Dazzle, I am sorry this happened to you, and I hope the little shite gets his comeuppance.

The weird thing is when I logged onto OkC, and re-activated my profile, I had a message waiting from Peter. One of us is always single when the other is in a relationship, and this time is no different, but we've decided to be friends and chat. We've too many similar interests and he is too handsome to keep missing out on knowing one another. 

 

Fate is cruel, lol. Peter went as a Weasley to Calgary Expo; he's pretty great. Damn his girlfriend, haha.

I'm just frustrated. I just want to walk away from the situation, but I'm not letting him have the Settlers of Catan that my dad gave me for Christmas.
