Just remember, defense is not the point of that game! Be brutal!
So it's not all that dissimilar from it's predecessors then.

Do it! Do it! Do it!

Never played Dark Souls but I know that you do need to have some defense in order to survive that game. Bloodborne requires none whatsoever.

Well.. this is going well.

*sighs*
Lynroy, don't make me go over there and drag coax you back to DQ!
From what I've seen of Bloodborne, there's more of an emphasis on countering so I'm guessing the old poking meta is back in vogue. Not that it went anywhere.
More about dodging I would say.
I didn't find the combat clunky.
... What do you mean by clunky?
Clunky as in not smooth. Robotic. Partly taking away player control to preform animations that can't be interrupted. Enemies with difficulty based on exploiting the ponderous player controls and the players ability to exploit glitches and stupidly designed hitboxes. Basically what i mean that it feels like an 8-bit game on the combat front. I ain't going to play because any enjoyment i'm going to get from combat but instead i'm going to play it because the world setting and the story hit all the right markers for me ![]()
I'd like to see you try!*sighs*

Oh. No, I didn't find it clunky. I can't remember if you can interrupt your own attacks, but either way, if you are about to get hit whilst attacking, chances are your going to get hit anyway.
It's not clunky at all, clunky would mean freezing before and after attacks or attack animations etc which my copy of Bloodborne doesn't do, it's rather awesome combat in my opinion, I sucked at Dark Souls because of all the block and counter stuff. I think that was in dark souls. Bloodborne I just run around and smack em when they can't hit me.
I'd like to see you try!
Me too, I'm quite sure I am not strong enough or brave enough to drag you anywhere. Hence replacing it with coaxing attempts and likely just getting a "I DO WHAT I WANT" yelled at me

Sounds up my alley, so to speak.
If there's anything I've learned from the Souls series, it's that spear fighters who are good at dodging are the worst.
I say this as someone who fights like that and has gotten his ass kicked by others who fight like that.
I'd definitely give it a try if I were you. I think you'd like it.

Finally got to save my newest character! only took 10 tries and worked on the settings I had originally etc. *mutters darkly*
I will need to take her to the BE for some very minor adjustments to get her right but, yay elfy lady is done ![]()
She suffers from Shiny hair and pissed off attitude ![]()

Dr. Pepper trail leading back to the DQ?Me too, I'm quite sure I am not strong enough or brave enough to drag you anywhere. Hence replacing it with coaxing attempts and likely just getting a "I DO WHAT I WANT" yelled at me

I'd catch on to that really quick.
What if they were the limited edition Dr Peppers you can only get in the summer?
Reading a thread about Tyrdda Bright-Axe makes me wish we could interact with the Avvar much much more. We didn't even get a party in the long-house ![]()
Other than that...Still bored.
