It's a nice change from how he normally is. So calm and collected, always knows how to respond, then you pry at something he said and he doesn't know how to respond. It's part of what makes him a terrible outright liar. Solas is better at lies of omission when he is in control of the information he's giving or not giving. Gotta make up a lie on the spot?
