For so long we have been told that video games are just for boys. Why is that? For anyone with a degree in Women's Studies, the answer is obvious. The Patriarchy uses rape as a tool to keep women oppressed and marginalized. Video games and gaming culture are one of the largest tools used to maintain the Kyriarchal power structures that continue to ensure the second-class citizen status of women in developed nations. The vast majority of video games have a focus on violence and sexuality and many glorify sexual violence against women specifically. Many brave women and journalists have been fighting the good fight to turn the tide and make gaming an inclusive experience for women. The rape impulse inherit in cismales is fueled by the sexualization and objectification of female characters with unrealistic proportions and features that also serve to degrade women who do not conform to their beauty standards. Many groundbreaking women have been brave enough to venture into video game development only to be met with death threats and rape threats. Heroes like Zoë Quinn for example have been bullied and harassed through social media despite creating one of the greatest and most cutting edge video games of the past three decades. She is not alone in her struggle, Brianna Wu is another renowned video game developer who has been bullied by members of a neo nazi website called fourchannel. it is time that we say enough is enough and work together to make gaming a safe-space where women are free to explore new media without being harassed and propositioned by greasy, fat uneducated pimply-faced racists who only want to use their tiny members to rape them into a permanent catatonic state. Either allow women their rightful place in the gaming community or we will ban your insipid devices you use to fuel your misogyny. That isn't a threat. It's a promise.

I love how the people who write those articles can't even be considered a gamer, or even knowledgeable in the gaming industry, and use the "games are for boys" argument to try and justify what they are saying. So infuriating!

I absolutely hate Kyrrah's nose and chin lol. For Cookie, she's .. eh, alright. I think I may have made her eyes too deep-set for her face.

Oh no, even better for failed facial expressions. The most dastardly one of all: first smirk at Cullen, flirt line. Every race and gender can get this glamorous shot

I've seen some people get a decent pic here, but the only ones I've seen use mods so possibly a factor, I'll never know.

Even the playthrough I made him King I wanted to kill the bastard wipe that stupid grin off his face and be like...nope...you get it *tosses it to some random Dwarf in the crowd*.  Its kind of the same reason I prefer Gaspard over Celene.  THough admitededly that choice is a lot closer.  Both are just completely evil and...I kind of flip flop on that in my head a lot and it depends on my mood.

Well I just have weird choices, I prefer Belen in Orzammar and Gaspard in Orlais, also Alistair alone on the Ferelden Throne (or with noble warden lady). I think those are the only times I as a player can choose the ruler yes? oh and Hawke for Viscount temporarily.
