Speaking of -and I don't know why I felt the need to share this right at this moment, but the name is close enough- but I started watching the recent Musketeers BBC series; and I had to stop after the first episode.

 

I was really craving an adventurous series with a historical setting, and while the production value is high and it's visually well done; the writing of D'Artagnon is cringeworthy. I have never read the original material, but is he supposed to be such an assortment of clichées?

He's sort of made of them but arguably spawned many of them originally anyway. Try to stick with it and watch a few more as it does get very good.
