Writing break. just finished the death of the kid part. I'ma go cry a river and hunker down in a corner for a moment. And yeah, it's from Kyrrah's write up in the Inquisitor's Corner, that's an important little nightmare there.

I know, I feel awful just writing about it. It's an inappropriate few paragraphs to share so I won't. But it had to be there, for me to get it all to flow.

Kyrrah's major life traumas were the fall of the Ostwick Circle, which was violent in my playthrough, and the explosion at the Conclave where she lost all the friends she had and some family.

Kyrrah got her scar, over the left corner of her lip, from a templar's shield during her circle's fall before she managed to escape. She had hesitated about using her magic on a person (something she had never done before) when he came to attack her and a child she should have protected and her hesitation caused her to be thrown backwards and lying stunned on the floor as the templar cut down the 9 year old boy. This is a haunting memory and she has vowed never, ever to hesitate again in a fight, especially against people willing to harm innocents.

The entire point of this particular event is emotional trauma, in the case of driven guilt, for Kyrrah. It has to be someone she HAD to protect, no if buts and whys. And someone that them dying, so her failing, would shatter her completely. And yeah, I write a lot of dark stuff.

Interesting.  I can do dark but its more gray then dark dark.  Abigail's backstory is very dark.  But then she is an Earthborn-Ruthless background.
