Raging fanboy! :P

But don't worry, I won't say you're responsible if I don't like it.

But it's really wondering (a bit) to me that one DLC has the might to prefer one series over the other.

I just need to feel it myself to figure it out.

Muahaha, faaaanboy!

But first of all: The Fade awaits me and a bad decision. My head cannon Hawke vs The Alistair.

I do not envy you.  A choice I will never have to make. lol.

Meh its a me thing.  I mean I made a thread explaining a lot of my reasons why and lets face it.  Its liberty porn.  The series I think is officially liberty porn now. :P

Mate I was blown away.

I had mixed feelings about the game.. but ever since I played all the DLCs (even JoH and Descent were great) my opinion has changed. It is a good game. I still think that the open world angle doesn't work for BW.. I noticed that Descent and Trespasser were very linear, in the vain of say Origins or even the ME series. This is what works best for them.

I mean, the open worlds could be fun. Especially if you get right into the combat side of things, leveling up and getting good loot is very satisfying. Killing dragons is a blast and is addictive.. But I dunno. Maybe there is a decent middle ground somewhere.

I started a new playthrough.. with a different world state. The worst possible (or best, depending how you view it) where Logain is alive, Alistair gets killed, Leliana "gets killed" Male Hawke romances Anders because why the hell not?

My actions this time around will be completely different. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

The open world can work and work well for their storytelling, DA I and the Witcher 3 both prove it.  But is it what is best?  After playing Tresspassers I'm not so sure.  Either way the games they create can be amazing in the future.  DA I has built a very strong foundation to where whatever direction they go in terms of the world they build I look forward to it.

Everyone hates W3 comparisons but...

(drink up, folks!)

THAT works. I mean, there were a couple of issues.. like too many quests, and not gaining xp once you've leveled up too much. And I think you mentioned this too.. no xp from killing enemies. But that's beside the point. The thing about TW3 though, is that it isn't party based so devs had resources to put elsewhere.. And realistically, there were only three huge environments in TW3 where as DAI had a lot more.

The good thing is, BW have listened to their fans and given us a concrete ending to the Inquistion's story, where as originally it left a lot of loose ends..

I just got Ardent Blossom in my Nightmare playthrough. Combined with the Keeper Robe, Lyna looks really... really good with it.

Well it is a long term series.  :P

As I said even before Tresspassers I adored Inquisition and its open worldedness and I adore Tresspassers so, like I said, I can see them going in either direction and it being just fine by me.  I just think, there are only two games who have truly done this, each area in DA 4 needs to have integration with the main story plot.  And the two games who have done this is Witcher 3 and DA O.

It's made me want to dive right into the books, as well as both World of Thedas'.

I've only read the Stolen Throne, now I want to get stuck into the rest. I'm actually interested in the book (can't remember what the title was) that features the Gaspard/Celene story arc.

I just wish they would make a decent movie.. I watched Dawn of the Seeker and nearly fell asleep.. and I won't touch that Felicia Day Youtube crap with a 10 ft boobie staff..

Too bad I haven't read it before deciding who should take the Throne. It's always interesting with new context to look at. For instance, even though Logain was an arsebiscuit in Origins, I understood what made him that way from what I read in The Stolen Throne.

I actually own the book.. all of them, in fact. Just haven't read them yet.. so they stay on the shelf and get forgotten until I remember.

I don't know if I have any. Shoot, Aislann's playthrough was so long ago it would take some doing to dig through my screen shots.

Still an arsebuiscut. Understood more why he did what he did, but that just made me dislike him for it even more.

What's that? Is that Orlesian? ;)

Oh yeah.. even in the book he was an arse. But it's interesting to get all the background info.

It does not work for me. Okay, it's beautiful riding around, but checking out all the small question marks is totally annoying for me. I'm only in Velen and I am bored to death. I love the main quest atm, but I also want to check out what's going on around me. And that is just... ugh! And that my fn swords dies off every dunno... 5th fight doesn't make it better.

Oh... and every second question mark I follow I get either killed or no xp. WTF!

Also: Still no sex!

Yeah.. repairing weapons pissed me off too. Big time. I mean sure, the idea is realistic.. but they wear down too easily. In a way I don't believe is realistic.. which kills the realism.

But the devs did point out that Geralt isn't supposed to be rich.. cause it makes no sense for a Witcher to be a loaded millionaire. So obviously things are in place in the game.. that ensures you are broke-arse.

Have you tried modding it? Might make it more enjoyable for you.

this is what I'm looking for.

Can you KISS Solas, dump Solas, bang bull, dump bull, get with Sera?

Yes. I never committed to them since I didn't talk to them after the kiss and bang. Sera I'm now committed to. Kinda dumb you can't break off a relationship once its committed.
