Now I had an argument with Solas about elves last night so I'm a bit funny about talking to him I mean, I do know he approves of asking questions about fade and spirits. So basically all I wanna know is.. is there anything I have to say or do to get the romance?

Other than the usual you need high enough approval, nope. Just make sure you take the flirt options when talking to him.
