I fail to understand the "too much Dr pepper" part.

Good morning to all, and a lovely morning it is. Brief report & thoughts on my first tip-toeing around the Trespasser intro:

Spoiler

More as I move along to actual story content. Just one side note already: Why is it always that the last DLC for a modern BW game is super amazing, and incorporates many elements fans were dying to have - but on the other hand, this exact learning/feedback process always repeats itself from zero, despite the basic formulae of BW games having remained mostly the same?

We want companion interaction, real customization and decent hub towns. Ever since, whether it's in space or Thedas. Come on guys, it's not that hard.

Now I wish Xbox One allowed me to upload videos anywhere outside the XBL cosmos. Kel just slays those scaley motherf****s. My beloved grappling hook makes you feel like a true big game hunter.

The dlc was linear.. But I didn't mind. It is welcome after so much open world.

Having said that, I hope we get amazing looking towns and cities in the vain of.. Yes, I'm going there.. Ready your drinks... TW3!!!

One only fears a so called "agenda" if it is affecting them majorly on a psychological level.

I must wonder Tammie.. If your heart beat so fast in your chest and you swooned like a princess, the first time you laid eyes on Krem. Only to find out later in a conversation.. He has no danglybag!

To be perfectly honest, I had hoped cities and towns would be like that before DA:Is release. The Witcher 3 was how I was expecting them to be. Massive and animate.

I can safely have that convo with you.

The thing is, I think BioWare intrepreted themselves into a corner. When they started having those massive cutscenes, it actually supported the character interaction and made them deeper (focus, honey). Until at a certain point the medicine became the patient, and they confused people wanting those flashy explosions with them appreciating a means of highlighting certain aspects of character interaction.

All in all I see so much money wasted, especially in DAI. I don't want to know what all those Keep customization sets must have cost - the most giant open interior environment with its most diverse detail redone at least 15 times. And while some may very well appreciate them, I assure you had they never been in the game, even the darndest The Sims-veterans would not miss a thing.

I think CDPR had the benefit of lurking a little, and simply being wiser at picking up what people truly love in RPGs in general -including BW titles-, since they are forced to emphasize in a way; more so than EA - despite not much anymore. Also the simpler continuity and non-existent main character fluctuation was also a big benefit for the one, where it stopped dead the other at times.
