Cold War back on? Or did we go back to 1960s?
She can socialize my... no, nevermind, it sounded funnier in my head.
*Beren drinks*
I'm looking at Norse Mythology, because it fascinates me, and in particular, Fenrir (Fenris).
I was wondering, what do we think Fenris (the character) will do in the end.
The story of Fenrir sounds somewhat like a story I could definitely envision Fenris doing.
-
Fenrir is a giant wolf. Fenris is an Elvish name that means Little Wolf.
The gods learned of a prophecy that the wolf and his family would one day be responsible for the destruction of the world.
Now, bring this into Dragon Age, the gods could be seen as Magisters and the destruction of the world being the destruction of Tevinter.
They decided to render him harmless. They ordered the Dwarves to fashion a magic chain.
Fenris' chain would be the lyrium markings on his skin. Lyrium could be considered, magic. This allowed his master to control him, thus rendering him harmless. Fenris is also the only one to have ever had this chain on him. No one else has had the lyrium markings, and if they have, we have not heard of them. This comes back into the prophecy of Fenrir. Only Fenrir ever had a magical chain like this.
On the day of Ragnarok, Fenrir will break his chains and join the giants in their battle against the gods.
Now, Fenris is already free from his master but no matter. The day of Ragnarok could be when the Qunari launch their final attack on Tevinter and possibly the rest of the world. Fenris would join the Qunari in killing the Magisters. The Qunari, being the giants.
He will seek out Odin and devour him. Vidar, Odins son, will avenge his father by killing the wolf.
Fenris will kill the top Magister. Perhaps Dorian? Maybe someone else who we haven't met yet? Then he dies in turn. (A fitting end for a warrior like him, no?)

I don't know. I was just reading, and I could totally see something like this happen with his character.

Fenris? Greeted with my murder knife.

Commie's love big governmet.
Commies love big words, and big lies.
Cold War back on? Or did we go back to 1960s?
Some of us are so retro, we're in fact stuck thinking in a 1960's way.
I mean, FORTY YEARS. They were ruling my country for forty years, and look what they've left behind.
We were a well-developing young country before the Munich betrayal.
And yes... I'm saltier than I should be about this.

That... makes an awful lot of sense, actually.
Provided they actually did take their inspiration.

It's possible, and I think it sounds like something that would fit his story. I mean, he's not about to forgive the Magisters for everything that they have done.
Now obviously, as Lyn said, Fenris can die. But, that doesn't necessarily mean that these events wouldn't take place. The Qunari are still going to fight Tevinter. It will just mean that Fenris wouldn't be helping because he's, y'know, dead.
The awkward moment when you realize your Inquisitor might actually be Katniss Everdeen despite never seeing the movies. *drinks*
Found my battle.net authenticator, but more importantly I found my laser pointer with it! Very happy doggie
Not sure if I did something wrong or what, but it hasn't asked me to pay anything yet. Downloaded and installing Diablo III right now.
Don't panic! It's Fixed!
Sorry, I'm clumsy with images on mobile.
Does he actually do science or is it just his clothing that does it?
Just finished Wolfenstein: The New Order and.... as Varric (appropriately enough) would say: well, sh*t.
Gonna need a drink after that.

Yeah, it was fun running around the alternate 1960 world and blasting Nazis. Good characters and interesting places to visit.... and blast Nazis.
The end, though....

Well, considering that Varric is the protagonist... I think he did. A few times.

No, he isn't. Anya's actress has revealed by mistake that they're working on a sequel.
I must see this comment. I'm sure it will amuse.
The 6-page thread, I think. Forgot the name.

Yay!
Should be with us in... 3 years, tops. Hopefully, anyway. If all things go according to plan.
Heh. The folk are watching LoTR.
So I watched a bit. And when the first Elf I could see came in, I left with the words "Anethara, lethallan."

I'll just watch the movie again, but it should be interesting.
