Thanks Dame, my spelling is probably off - I guess it was a pet name something similar to the french mon petit chou (my little cabbage) term of endearment which sounds odd to us english.  Maybe bagel or doughnut, there were the best doughnuts!

Has the amount of time we've all been together here developed some kind of... of thing akin to the menstrual cycle? Men included. People do seem to be a little moody lately, a little sullen. Is it just the DQs time of the month?

 

I apologise in advance if this comparison offends anyone. I just can't think of anything else to compare it to.

Did a suicide charge with explosives on a tank. We were out of AT, because all of the AT dudes died, and I'm NOT gonna run to pick up an AT 100 meters out if I can just charge the tank ten meters away with C4. Sadly, our Medic took it in the resulting explosion. Ugh.

You know how I've always said Cookie seems to have a natural air of authority around her?  Well this lady strikes me as one very comfortable with herself.  Knows her capabilities, etc.  Lovely, as well.  Now, please don't smack me for this, because I don't mean OLD, but she does strike as being a few years older than Kyrrah.

 

Kyrrah is headcanon aged at 22 years old at start of DAI. Rohain is meant to be late 20's or early 30's at most, I feel I managed to get her to look around that as well. Trying to portray a character that's older then me, less insecure and moody then Kyrrah, and more comfortable with her own decisions. More mature I guess.

It's hard to treat him like **** when he has been nothing but incredibly caring and gentle with her. He has a moment of panic and backs out badly.

No no, I was just shocked that his leaving you is based entirely on him actually liking you. What happens if your approval isn't high enough? Does he just leave without saying a word?

It's not based entirely on him liking Lavellan, I won't deny that it plays a part. And approval has nothing to do with it. You only need high enough approval to start the romance, it ends the same way for everyone. Depending on how Lavellan chooses to react, Solas may have a different line to say once Corypheus is defeated and he's pouting over the broken remains of the Orb. Paraphrasing here: "No matter what happens, I want you to know that what we had was real" OR if Lavellan got angry and shoved him "You were right to be angry with me. I hope in time you will see why." Not exact quotes, but that's the gist of what he says.

You still have a chance to break things off when he takes you to the cave in Crestwood (what I lovingly call the fire swamp). When Solas takes Lavellan to the fire swamp, he has no thought about bringing the relationship to a full stop. He has no idea he is going to panic and back out badly. Solas took her there to tell her everything. About himself, Corypheus, the orb. All of it. He was going to give up on his plans, whatever they were, to stay with her. We know this by word of Weekes. It really is at the very last second he realizes he can't bring himself to tell her.
"I was trying to determine some way to show what you mean to me. For now the best I can offer is...the truth."
Those last two words there, slight hesitation before he says "the truth", that is when he comes short and decides to tell her about the Vallaslin instead. After that he realizes he cares about Lavellan so much that he can't continue keeping the truth from her, and he cannot drop whatever plans he has, so he backs out. Badly. I hope that makes sense. I just woke up.

You can talk to him afterwards and get him to promise to tell Lavellan what the Hell that was all about.
