Uh except you don't really listen...

Addiction can be a powerful and driving force.

...not that I would know or anything.

I do listen. Just because I fail to put your advise immediately into action doesn't mean I don't hold onto it, and remind myself that I'm slowly killing myself...

Hey captivating bit of a health question I have been puzzling about?  What is worse for you, smoking a cigarette or drinking diet soda?

cigarettes. Diet soda in moderation is fine, since if I recall corrctly the amount of aspertame in one soda doesn't have long-term adverse affects, as long as you're monitoring what you're eating.

It can trigger cravings, though so you should watch that you're not eating excessive sugary treats after.

The trouble comes in when you're drinking litres of diet soda a day and ignoring your food intake.

well alright then, but it does feel like a bit of an energy waste on my side since your actions only ever change short term...

which is something I don't do.  lol.  I get about a can of day and hardly have anything...well too sugary.  Just I ask because someone at work was telling me about all the negative health stuff with Aspertame and here they are...smoking.  I was just curious.

Oh trust me, I do know. I had to go from drinking multiple venti coffees a day to cold turkey. The headaches are the bloody ****** worst. I had to wean myself back on to coffee and now I can't have more than 16 ounces over the course of a day.

It's a start, and I'm not asking you to do it. You do it of your own free will. If you'd rather not, you don't have to. I just want you to know that it hasn't gone to waste, and it will probably be the thing that helps me stick with it.  :)

bah, schoolwork! Rebel I say!

Ooh, did you see the pic of the BF and me at the Edmonton Expo? I wore my Hufflepuff hoodie, and looked adorable!

Does it involve giant spiders? If not I may consider joining you lovelies!

Yeeess I saw it!  <3 You two are absolutely adorable! I'm sure you had lots of fun  ^_^

It has spiders, but I guess you could avoid the zones and quests that involve dealing with them (it seems you can't :(). On the other hand there are tons of pretty dresses and cute immersion/roleplaying details, also the story and quests are fantastic. It doesn't almost feel like an MMO to me, it's like a solo game but with Ashie :3

It would be great to have you :D

lost my quote :( . lotro Sadly has spiders everywhere. and they're the spindly legged orb types so probably not good for you, and yeah to progress the main story you have to fight a couple of big ones. it's enough to scare me those big ones.

edit: it's so pretty though.. (it's ok, horse pic not a spider one)

most of the aspartame studies have been debunked. But the general idea is that because diet soda tastes sweet but doesn't contain actual sugar that the brain sends out insulin to break down sugar that doesn't exist and it will sit in your bloodstream until it finds sugar. So it triggers a sugar craving.

But if you are only drinking one and eating a balanced diet with carbs there will generally be sugar for it to break down. Just don't go and eat 5 pastries after a diet soda.

My god we have finally become one of those meta youtube channels where people are making counter threads to us just to latch onto our popularity and create a popular thread in return.

Funny story, my boss and my boyfriend have the same name, so I have to be super careful talking about my boyfriend at work, haha.

Pretty dress! Lovely! What's the CC like?

Oh that's really not so scary at all! Can you show me a bigger one please?
