Oh yes... blame it on sexual frustration. Had nothing at all to do with the alliance screwing you over, your so-called closest companion betraying you, the council being d*cks... as usual, Udina's irritating head that you just wanna punch, being patched up by some rich psycho and pretty much forced into working for him cause you nobody else seems to want to get off their complacent arses and stop the real threat, etc..

Hm... nope, can't remember. Closest I got was watching asari dancers (and tipping them at ME2 where I thought that paper money isn't that bad after all...)

And the rest is just business as usual. Everybody wants something, is an arse and it's on the player's shoulders to save the world, galaxy, whatever because no one else seems capable. And when everything's done, people complain about how you did it.

 

Seems I'm not able to go full renegade. I always seem to get some accidental paragon points. And thanks to you everytime that happens, I panically (is that a word?) check my scar status

Don't worry, I was talking about Kaidan.. (assuming you got up to that part on Horizon, yeah? Hope so.)
How he gets anti-Shep because you join up with Cerberus... I mean, suck it up princess. Garrus did.  While their methods are questionable, at least they're willing to put in an effort and are seeing the bigger picture. Or so it seems.

You're probably getting some "accidental" paragon points for being nice to crew members and helping them out. Can't be avoided.. well, it can be, but just trust me on this; it's better to have them on your side and I will say no more on that. *Zips mouth*.

LOL and don't worry you won't lose the scarring... just so long as a majority of your decisions are renegade, you'll be fine.

Kaidan is a military *****, I didn't expect him to react different. Besides, the mail afterwards was friendlier-ish and I don't care enough about him to be bothered.

 

Ugh, now I feel like there's this DA2 moment coming, where all of your companions can turn against you because you weren't nice enough. But atm I like every character enough to make them loyal. Already got Jacob, Miranda, Jack, Garrus and Thane on my side, which made me delay further recruiting, which I do now. Got... eh... Katsumi(?), Tali and am on my way to get the 'hooray more boobies!'-asari on my team. Wonder-woman-style hot.

With all these female ME2 chars I don't wonder that much anymore about the DA:I complaint from 'straight males'

Yeah I know but... as somebody on the Normandy crew in ME1, you'd think he'd know better.. particularly when he spent a lot of time whinging about how things were being dealt with. "There's writing on the wall." This is what happens when you put your blind faith in one side.

You mean unlike the blind faith the companion in ME2 put in Shepard? "Oh, sure, Cerberus is a terrorist organization who performs brutal experiments on people and/or have them murdered, but I'm sure you know what you're doing Sheppy!"

Probably.. but come on! We can't have Shep not get laid. It's a major part of every great story.. the fact that said protagonist gets laid.

Well I didn't really care about the character one way or another, I mostly just found her bland and thought her looks went a bit too much into the "uncanny valley" for my taste. The only thing that REALLY burns is that we couldn't have Emily Wong, a character that had been there for two whole games already.

I am an Ashley kind of dude (she's not really a racist, her doubts are reasonable, her face looks weird because something, something engine, obligatory character discussion defense), but I always liked Kaidan as my bro. I was actually completely devastated when I ended up leaving him behind, to the point where I was pissed in the that's-inappropriately-insesitive-way, that if you don't flatout resent Garrus, he's written to be your new Alenkbro just like that.

 

So I ended up forcing myself to start a new Shepard who has Kaidan survive, and actually there is some serious brohood and waxing nostalgia possible post Coup in ME3, which is awesome. So I have two "post game" Citadel DLC saves, with either one alive, and it kinda tricked my brain into thinking they both made it. Alas.
