I'm actually reading Dark Journey right now, trying to go through the whole NJO series in prep for Episode VII. The book is about ten times better then I remember it being. Mind you I rather dislike how Star Wars essentially repeats the same basic argument over and over again, though the war against the Yuuzhan Vong did add more context to it. And yeah, she is probably my favorite character in the books who are purely invented for the EU. Rather fond of Anakin and...well a lot of them.
Jaina probably has the slight edge. Love the Vong too.
I like Kyle Katarn too.... He's kinda like a not so powerful Revan....
Ooh! Ben Skywalker is awesome too! He knows his limits and knows what the Dark Side does to his family....

I was kidding, guys. Just poking some fun at the whole "books are legit" thing that Star Wars fans do.
My two favorite SWs characters of all time though are probably Obi-Wan Kenobi and Revan though. I adore Revan, think the man was an utter and complete bad ass. A brilliant strategist, military leader, a man who found the perfect balance between the dark side and the light side of the Force. After much suffering. But even when he 'fell' he didn't fall all the way, he was a man with a plan.
Obi-Wan is similar, maybe a bit too much on the Light Side but he was a sarcastic little **** and I loved every single moment of it. Also a Master duelist and really wise despite a few issues.

And I really do not have a hill to die on in this particular issue ME has kinda replaced SWs for 'that kind of' Sci Fi franchise for me. I still like SWs but I am not that invested in it. Granted interest is rising because of ep 7.
