So I take it you couldn't get into Shadowrun then?
I played it for five minutes and I wanna keep playing!! But I'm still Witchering and still pretty early on in the game plus have an expansion to play. Aaaand Halo.
I can't even play Pillars of Eternity often because of the combat
Let alone any other turn based during combat games that I've tried. Never heard of Shadowrun though
blast and damnation. Can't find my pc controller. Forgot how Shadows of Mordor is made for controller, not keyboard.. *mutters* oh well, I played kb+m fine ages ago, can do so again.

If you didn't live on the other side of the country I'd lend you mine. Bought it to play Jade Empire which is another game I haven't completed.
heh, i never once got any of that from actually playing it however I do play mmo's I enjoy as vip (monthly sub) not free to play (only ones I enjoy, i play free first of course until i know) so have very few, if any, restrictions to my playing. Mmorpg's cost the developing/producing companies a ton of money each year, so of course free to play has micro-transactions to try and get more subs from anyone who enjoys the game enough.
After the sub of 15-ish for 30 days (less if I buy 6 months in one go for example (down to 10-ish bucks for 30 days) I don't spend any extra money on games that have in-game stores.
I have played Eve Online (subbed) STO and TOR FTP. And it just all works exactly the same way. Eve had those insanely stupid 'books' you had to read for your level ups. So there was no way you could level up at your own pace and you just had to grind and do things in the mean time. Soooo at the end of the day all you do is end up wasting your time. TOR and STO had pretty much the same, though STO did a better job, at the assanine game play that it just makes absolutly no sense and it just becomes a really pathetic Rocky movie, over, and over and over and over and over again. Plus then you have to deal with people...
Yep and this is why I'm boycotting MMOs for one, they are all the friggin' same! Go here, kill X people, take Y from their corpses, go back to Z for reward then gain exp. Repeat.
Some are worse than others but yeah.. From what a friend told me The Old Republic is pretty bad and that extends to the players who have an elitist attitude so they treat f2p like sh*t. Sadly it's probably the best MMO out when it comes to role playing.
Had to uninstall ESO last night cause it was forcing me to download a huge update and I have no bloody room on that Ps4 as it is.
Exactly. Though it tickles me this is a lot of people's complaints about DA I in a nut shell, but really I do not feel it with Inquisition. At all *drinks*
NO. It's "Single player MMO"you drink to.
*snort* Speaking of which I do not get why people would try and play MMOs as a SP game, I mean I tried it with TOR and it was working alright...but there are plenty of amazing SP games ot there that you do not have to sub with and can go completly by yourself. And an SP game version of an MMO does not work because you STILL have to deal with people. Lines of people forming outside quest givers just shatters imersion because stories in MMOs go...YOU ARE THIS AWESOME AMAZING WORLD SAVER....but what about all those people over there?....IGNORE THEM!. At least Eve made sense in this regard.
You wouldn't be surprised at the amount of people who are. Seeing as Witcher 3 is in that bracket too rofl
Another game I just can't get into.. *sigh* tried to play last night, ended up having a blast in Assassin's Creed 4 instead
The Witcher 3 actually has a lot of repetition with treasure hunts, monster nests, bandit camps etc. But luckily all of the other side quests aren't. It's overwhelming though, and there are major issues with levelling. If you level too high for a quest you don't get any exp and it makes you not inclined to do it.. Which sucks cause some of the minor "optional" side quests actually have an impact on the main story! Aside from that its amazing game.
I play the two I do because I have zero social life outside of games anyway. I don't have any friends that I've actually met and zero people I can hang out with. It's my way of trying to interact with at least someone, stranger or not, that isn't my parents or boyfriend. Mmo's aren't for everyone, never have been. just like first eprson shooters, or action rpg's etc

I don't find it an amazing game at all, but that's just biased personal opinion based on the fact I just don't like it so far so haven't gotten very far through haha. I blame Geralt, hating your controlled character is the worst part of trying to enjoy a game.
edit:
If you can tell me this guy pops up often then I might manage to force my way through, I never finished witcher 2 but only got as far as I did because of him. If you can't then it's a hopeless cause me getting very far in tw3 hahaha

Yeah that's fair enough. I get that it isn't everyone's cup of tea. I would love it a million times more if there was a game like that.. but with character customization.
CDPR are working on a new game, Cyberpunk 2077 which is actually based on an old school tabletop. If that's the case, one would hope there is character creation and class.
This is Shadowrun. I was told it's a lot like D:OS in regard to combat, but the lore of the game and the story is meant to be mindblowing. I can confirm that the gameplay, from what little I played, is a blast.
It's odd.. there's elves, dwarves, trolls, etc and magic..b ut it's set in the future and also has a cyberpunk setting.
Oh I don't need character customisation for Geralt, I just detest his personality.
Geralt to play is fine so long as he never talks
*Just noticed edit*
You like Dandelion? Yeah.. he's in it. Without giving too much away you have to go rescue his arse.
I don't mind Geralt's personality. He can be a funny fucker. I laugh every single time when he goes to Vizima and that dickwad Nilfgaardian is telling him he needs to dress all fancy and bow to the emperor and Geralt says at the end, "Thanks bunches."
Every character has their moments, just not a fan of most of Geralt's stuff. I might try again this week. I have enough games I want to jump between to keep my mind of kid not being here. I'm quite sure if I can get past my current little part of the game I might start enjoying it more.

Are you playing it on console or PC? You may enjoy it a bit more if you play on PC..
I just realized. It's too sane in here after yesterday's um.. events. And I'm missing my LI.
