I ended up in the hospital for a few days.... I'm not crazy, but it affected me bad. I already suffer from depression (diagnosed and on meds)....

Having anxiety attacks at work sucks too... I couldn't work like that!

Now I'm all good! Gonna have some "elfroot" tonight

I like the names of Halo ships, its unique, better then the Greek/ Egyptian/ Norse motif we get from ninety nine percent of other fiction.  Like Andromeda's.

Hey. I liked the names of (human) ships in Mass Effect.

 

"Hey, let's name all our Frigates after major battles in human history! And Dreadnoughts after huge friggin' mountains! Cruisers after cities! And, oh snap, I'm out of ideas, how about some big-named scientists from our history?"

It wasn't First Contact. However, ONI covered up all of it prior and likely a little after that incident. Reach was where Humanity, not ONI or the UNSC but Humanity as a whole learned of the Covenant.

 

S087 is Kelly I believe, and she is one of the Spartans in Blue Team, in Halo 5 Guardians. The other one sitting beside her is Frederick. I believe he is also in Blue Team in Halo 5.

You know I just rewatched last week Wing Commander and Forward Unto Dawn back to back, both pretty god movies...though Forward Unto Dawn's presentation is a bit wonky in places and then some of the stuff that happens with Chief is just as Wonky...but it strikes me just how similar the two movies are.

Spartan II's will always be better. The enhancements develop better when the person is still growing. Spartan IV's and I think Spartan III's but I'm not sure, are all soldiers who undergo the procedure. Spartan II's are children. Their bodies can be broken but in doing so, they become stronger. It allows the better enhancements to take root within them and essentially become one with them. Adults who get the enhancements can't adapt as well, so must go for a weaker one. However, the weaker ones are also cheaper. It means they can produce more Spartan IV's. I would say one Spartan II equals 5 - 10 Spartan IV's.

 

Spartan IV's are what the ODST became. There is no more ODST in humanities ranks. Other soldiers who show exceptional skill, such as Locke, can also become a Spartan. Even though they are the most skilled of humanity (only the best can ever become an ODST), the S-II's still outclass them, simply because they are bred for fighting. They are designed to take on platoons of soldiers single handedly. This does however, make people see them as less human and more machine, which is what Halsey said to her ONI interrogator. It was the whole point of Halo 4. Establishing that Spartan II's ARE human beings. They just have a harder time showing it.

Depression, meds, anxiety, I met another me! except.. Mine's so bad I cannot work at all, got fired from 8 jobs in one year because of my anxiety attacks and after that psychologist was like, here have an officially diagnosed unable to work if you need to be near/interact with people certificate. sigh...
