Talk about cheap cash grab though! Especially when backwards compatibility is coming soon. I mean sure, the "Ultimate" edition might have better graphics, but jeez.

didn't know that. only saw the story for that class by tagging along to my bf's class quest stuff as spectator and he played a guy.

With all respect we do not know how SWTOR KOTFE will work out and DAs writing team is amazing as is.  Mind you not sure if anyone has filled DGs spot yet *crosses fingers and prays*

Oh the last comment I made was in general, not based on the trailer at all. SWTOR has a lot of amazing writing work in general. I'm in a rambling mood. And yes they did, new lead writer was Weekes, he got that job when Gaider left the team.

Because you don't play as one person.. you play as a squad of four people. You get the option of choosing pre-made characters or make your own from scratch.

 

I've called mine the B*tch Brigade.

 

Naturally, I'm the leader. I am adept in assault rifles, heavy weapons and brawling. I have the hardass dialogue, and the psychopath quirk.

 

Roy is also a psychopath, and is my sniper.

 

Traggy is the medic, and she's good with a murder knife. I gave her the manic depressive quirk. Her stats can change randomly, sometimes go higher, sometimes lower.

 

And lastly, Verse. She's good with shotguns, and computer science, smartass dialogue, and is an opportunist.

 

And then there's me. I am the fifth class.

 

Infiltration Technician, First Class.

I utilize stealth to get point-blank to my enemy, and then my superior mobility, low profile and great stealth skills to confuse my enemy and strike at their flanks from whereever they expect it the least, capable of wiping out platoons single-handedly with either rapid flanking maneuvers and guerilla warfare, or long-range precision fires.

 

I am the Shadow class, skilled in CQC, Infiltration, Heavy Anti-Materiel Rifle Handling, that wreaks havoc on anyone in his path.

 

My callsigns and units assigned to differ by universe, but it is safe to say that I have been called an N7, a SEAL, an XCOM Infantryman, and an Assassin in the past...

 

How would you guys categorize X-COM style combat?  It's turn based, but you can have opportunity fire, etc.

 

I'd classify XCOM as VIGILO MOTHERF*CKING CONFIDO AYYY SLAUGHTER SIMULATOR.

x-com is a tactical rpg yeah? a mix between turn based and real time. in that regard I hate that sort of style. be one, or the other. Not mixed.

 

Turn based, but with Overwatch you can strike during the enemy turn if they fail to negate your Overwatch first.

 

I call bullshit. Clearly the game doesn't know what encompasses being an ass hole.

Yeah they replaced Gaider with someone already on the team. If they do DA4 they always start the writing process with tons more writers then who stick around once it hits the second stage of development so this isn't anything other then normal.

That's normal for big studios. They get the bulk of it written, then swap out writers for animators, designers et cetera. It's to help keep costs low. No point in keeping writers around when they've got nothing to do.

 

The only companies that do keep them around are the ones that are really, really small. Ones that are just starting out, such as those making No Man's Sky. I believe they only have 20 employees, including those not actually working on the game.

I'm not sure what is going on with him, but he is not a traitor, that is for sure. It likely has something to do with Halsey. Maybe she has sent them on a mission or they are trying to rescue her or something. Halsey is like every Spartan II's mother. They'll do anything for her.

And anyone who watched Nukem Dukem's live stream of the game the early stuff...mind you I am sure it is a *bit* more complicated then that but we do have the base reasons of why Chief was motivated to go AWOL.  Now why the person who encouraged him to go AWOL encouraged him to go AWOL and the reasons....they...are even still around...that is now the question.
