In all seriousness though the Inquisition really did become her family.  Cassandra was her older sister, Sera was her younger sister, Cullen her husband, Blackwall was probably fatherly, Dorian and Bull brother.  Solas creepy uncle.  Cole.  Son or Little brother.

Tbh, I don't feel that connection in this game, except with some. Advisors and Cass, Sera, Dorian for me. I got a family feel from DA2 more... dysfunctional family at least.

From a fan perspective I could agree with that.  But Kara as a character is very estanged from her mother, hates her family, so she really needed a new one.  Aeryn Hawke was very much into the Hawke family she had one who she loved dearly.

That makes sense. Although Rogue Hawke was my favorite, my canon is a mage FemHawke.. she's a bit more sisterly/motherly with the whole group.

My Trevelyan is an Archer-Assassin. 

 

That sounds cool too.. I've never gotten far with a rogue myself. My only backstory was that he was a slightly crazy lawyer and chantry brother...who played with knives to entertain kids at the chantry.

 

Not exactly rebellious, but I doubt the family was happy about him. He also hid some mages during the war, so that pissed them off.

The back story for Kara, defining moment of her life, was she had a older Brother.  he started to show magical talent.  And in the middle of the night her family arranged to have him shipped off to the Circles of Magi by the Templar Order, and she witnessed it.

I like things like that too.

 

The one story that comes easy for me is the mages themselves. But warrior feels good gameplay wise. So I'm kind of torn.
