I believe you guys know I'm a Grey Jedi. Though I do believe the Force is a tool, not to be waved around in everyone's faces though.

I'm definitely dark side. I was reminded why I wasn't all that fussed on Star Wars movies last night while attempting to watch revenge of the Sith last night. *Shudders at a certain actor*

:wizard:  THAT'S SIR STILL JUST "BENEDICT" TO YOU, PEON!  :wizard:

Wonderful news for all you Cumberbaitches out there!  He's just been made a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.  (CBE)

I am curious of Lynroy's reaction.  Will she cheer, or will she drown a shipment of tea in the harbor??

Story:  http://www.bbc.com/n...t-arts-34775662

ETA:

*snip*

I stand corrected!  Only the top two (out of five) tiers of the Order permit the use of Sir or Dame.  Cumberbatch only got the 3rd highest.

My bets are on:
-I already read it on Facebook
-Good for him
-I don't give a ****
-A combination of the previous options

Add a possible "so?" or "and? I'm meant to care?" to that list.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

All of those were my reactions. Cheers. "Already read it on Facebook. Good for him, I don't give a damn. Why am I supposed to care?"

  • Dorian: I can't believe you're scared of magic, Sera. It's a gift as mundane to me as your bow to you. Surely you see there's nothing to fear in a properly used tool.
  • Sera: Tell that to all the "proper" mages waving their tools in people's faces!
  • Dorian: There's an image.
  • Sera: What about Coryphamus? How many "proper tools" does he have under him?
  • Varric: (if in party) Not hardly enough, if you ask me.
  • Sera: And the rebel mages? How many "proper tools" have they raised?
  • Dorian: That's not-- I don't think I can continue.

But its not George Lucas who is heading this one up this time, well actually for that matter ROTS was the best of the prequels and the one he had the least control over...but JJ Abrams is inolved, the writer for Empire Strikes Back and I think Jedi are involved...the two best SWs movies.  So yeah.  I understand the skepticism, I'm skeptical...but meh if it bombs all I have wasted is like 20 bucks. :P

Besides on the topic of good acting, with all due respect, and I do not think this just has to do with me being overly attracted to her, but I do suspect Daisy Ridley has more acting talent on her pinkie then all of Hayden Christensen.

I'm skeptical solely on the fact the franchise now belongs to Disney.

I guess what I don't like.. Is the whole "Jedis are the good guys. They are right, sith are wrong." thing.. Its such a typically, narrow minded view and the audience is expected to go for team Jedi.

I disagree with the light side but maybe it's something I will bring up in your thread later on.

And you can blame TOR for this. I almost forgot it's an mmo it's that good.

Uuuhhhmmm since you watched the prequels I do not know how you can feel that because one of the things that the prequels did do right was show that the Jedi was just as crazy and decadent and just as insane as the Sith...and not saying the Sith were overyly insane as a whole.  I mean you head Darth Revan.  But going on the new stuff.  Its headed by JJ Abrams, JJ Abrams for frak sake.  A man who headed a movie that managed to turn Khan into a sympathetic character.  Khan for God's sake!  Albeith only for ten minutes.  But Khhhaaaannnn.  And second of all I mean maybe you have not been following this media, but the Sith and Jedi do not seem to be a thing in the sequels anymore.

That's exactly why I feel that lol.

No but what I meant is.. The common theme throughout the movies is that the Jedi are always the heroes.

And what i also mean is I don't agree with the oppressive Jedi doctrine. It's pathetic tbh.

I like TOR.. Because my sith warrior is the protagonist in her own story.

I quit watching 10 minutes into the kiddie  table debate because the damned buzzer kept making my dog start barking.  That's okay, though.  I finished Quantrill Shepard's ME2 run instead.

Must be some damned sexy crones.

I am 99% certain he's referring to the Republican Presidential debates on TV tonight.

Radio.  Yes.  Put it on to listen to his favorite personality, got the debate instead, and decided to try and stick it out.  Was thinking about trying to start a drinking game but meh.

Preach it!  Sith FTW.

I really liked how you could play reasonable Sith and psychotic Jedi in TOR, without them actually defecting to the other side.  It felt like a good evolution of KOTOR 2's grey-and-grey morality.

If you haven't had a chance to read this now closed thread, I highly suggest you do. In between the crazy there are some good history insights.
