Hawke already having a background and all that stuff is one reason I prefer my Inquisitors. Hawke never felt like my character. My Wardens to an extent don't really feel like mine because they all have their own background story. The Inquisitor is the first one that truly feels like my character because the blank slate allowed me to create my own story for each of them. :/

 

That's another big reason for my dislike. Especially with everything leading up to this story (DA2/Asunder/ME). It's begging for more context, and the office of the Inquisitor deserves more intrigue.

 

This is more like Bethesda, with it's dragonborns and prisoners getting out of jail and becoming saviors of the Empire or elven dieties. It saddens me, because they are inferior as far as story goes. I'm sure someone told them makes more money.. but it didn't make a difference.. and Bioware is less like themselves in the process.

Didn't mean to over look your post here straykat.  Does it get better if you move around to a different position or is it always hurting no matter how you move or breathe?   If it persists you may want to see about going in to the ER to check it out.

I can't tell. I haven't been moving enough to say. It has nothing to do with my breathing.. it's just like a sharp feeling near the chest and armpit.. Not too painful, but weird. It comes and goes.

well if it were musculoskeletal pain (eases or worsens with movement)  then it would be less likely involving your heart.  Do you recall if you lifted anything heavy or did anything strenuous with your arms that could be causing muscle fatigue or pain?  If it comes and goes that is also less likely to be true heart pain.  But I would say if it continues to trouble you, it wouldn't hurt to have it checked out just to be sure.

What do you mean? It seems like we see the same thing. I understand that you enjoy filling in the blanks more. I just don't understand why that approach had to happen here. You said you weren't a fan of DA2 (not sure about DAO), and yet you and others who are similar got what you liked here. I still feel a little blindsided by that, a year later. It didn't seem to be on the radar at all, 2 or 3 years ago on these boards.

 

Don't take me for a complete hater though. I still find some of it cool for the broader themes. Just not the execution or the "formula" they're going for.

It's inferior because something so important as the Chantry and this particular area I fell in love with (Ferelden/Orlais) gets left up to "whoever". I can't relate it to anything. It's absurd. Nothing ever happens like this. People are sad that the Dalish got trashed, but I'd argue this is just as bad.

 

It's inferior because Gaider seems to be depressed and literally said "You all are going to headcanon anyways.." And even told me once "Just make up your own story", when I asked him about some details with a class/race. This is a contrast to what he used to do. The haters really got to him, I think.

I've wanted to go to one of their shows for years. First, I didn't have any money then my job prevented me from going. One of these of these days, I will make it happen.

So now that i've had time to properly digest the blops 3 campaign, i have some new thoughts about it... Somewhat spoilery, if you care about that.

I called the story deus exian, but i was wrong. It's not deus ex, its ghost in the shell. The difference being that Ghost in the Shell is to Deus Ex what the 'I, robot' book is to the hollywood movie. Much, much heavier stuff.

I already spoke about the amount of customization you can do which include gender. Well, guess what? The player character shares romantic feelings with a female npc (not explicit, but still obvious as feck), REGARDLESS OF WHICH GENDER YOU CHOSE. Bet that goes down well with the crowd that whine about agendas

Another first for a COD: This game has no 'villains' and the plot has nothing to do with 'murrica. Your opponents have clear, logical and understandable reasons for doing what they are doing and they have nothing to do with nations, terrorism or anything else that would cause patriotic chest-thumping.  They are the 'good guys' as much as you are, their actions just screw you and your friends and collagues over something fierce.

The ending further reinforced the 'Ghost In The Shell' feeling. Being, as i saw it, basically the same ending as the first GitS movie.

All in all, this COD has single player, and it is fantastic.
