I unlocked my last achievement over half a year ago, if not a year. ME will do that if someone doesn't play for ages.

 

I don't even know what day it is.

 

Today, tomorrow, or yesterday. It's simple, there are only three options. 33% chance you'll guess correctly.

 

So now that i've had time to properly digest the blops 3 campaign, i have some new thoughts about it... Somewhat spoilery, if you care about that.

I called the story deus exian, but i was wrong. It's not deus ex, its ghost in the shell. The difference being that Ghost in the Shell is to Deus Ex what the 'I, robot' book is to the hollywood movie. Much, much heavier stuff.

I already spoke about the amount of customization you can do which include gender. Well, guess what? The player character shares romantic feelings with a female npc (not explicit, but still obvious as feck), REGARDLESS OF WHICH GENDER YOU CHOSE. Bet that goes down well with the crowd that whine about agendas

Another first for a COD: This game has no 'villains' and the plot has nothing to do with 'murrica. Your opponents have clear, logical and understandable reasons for doing what they are doing and they have nothing to do with nations, terrorism or anything else that would cause patriotic chest-thumping.  They are the 'good guys' as much as you are, their actions just screw you and your friends and collagues over something fierce.

The ending further reinforced the 'Ghost In The Shell' feeling. Being, as i saw it, basically the same ending as the first GitS movie.

All in all, this COD has single player, and it is fantastic.

 

Still, some parts were written on drugs, and they off a character just because they remembered they need to put in a second excuse for it to be a BLOPS title.

O_o I still don't see where you are getting the 'on drugs' part. As for character deaths...How many characters actually survived the story?

The way i saw the ending was that it was the GitS 'Project 2501' ending where the entities merged and gave rise to a whole new entity.  What i saw at the end was that the PC basically turned on a blender in her brain, mixing together all the different people in there (the emergent AI included and herself included) wiping away the distinctions between them untill there were none of them left. The person who walked out of the building wasn't the PC, or Taylor, or the AI. She was the sum of all their experiences condences in to a single, newborn individual. 'Happy Birthday' is what i spontaneusly said when i finished the campaign.

They are not just themselves any longer. In a sense, I'd call that BLOPS'd. BLOPS seems to love messing with character's heads. Too bad I can't remember what they did to BLOPS2 prot/Mason's son.

Is completely gone. Like i said, who walks out of the building is someone completely new. The chant you heard at the end was simply the newborn individual trying calm herself and bring herself back to balance and the first thing that comes to her mind is that chant as the AI once heard it. So very Ghost in the Shell

Jesus... How in crickey heck am I supposed to make a mailer. My idea was to do a personal mailer in the shape of a deck of cards.

 

King would be information about me as a designer. Queen would be a list of the things I like to do in design (print, editorial etcetera) Jack would be a business card with all of my contact information. A - 10 would simply be an image of a piece of work I have done, with a title someone around it. Joker would be something to just finish off that idea.

 

As a keepsake for the receiver, I would send off with my mailer, a custom made deck of playing cards, designed with my own artwork and everything. They'd reflect me, but a person could still use them in a professional or fun manner (use them in poker or build a house of cards with them or whatever you can do with a deck of cards).

 

That idea, just getting the full deck of cards would cost me $100. For 10 decks. Everything else in the mailer. The packaging, the professional printing etcetera, is going to also cost money. Probably more money.

 

Don't mind me... just worrying about things that I have little control over... I'll be fine.

That... is a great idea. Too bad about the costs, but it's a great idea nevertheless.

Guys and gals playing Fallout. In previous Fallout (3 and New Vegas) there was a perk that enabled all locations visible on the map, regardless f whether or not you had actually discovered them. Is there a perk in Fallout 4 that does the same? I can't seem to find it in the list.

We do not drink because it's idiots trying to hate on BioWare.

 

We drink out of respect and compassion to Bethesda, as we well know this kind of person very well ourselves.

(That said, I still prefer BioWare games over Bethesda's)

You know, I might be willing to forgive BLOPS3 for being on drugs for the second half of the game, if they didn't off the one character I actually enjoyed without any real meaning...

Not counting the robot, there are only two female romance options and four make romances. I'm sure as hell not going to romance any of the males so this bothers me a bit that there aren't more female romance options. Seems like Beth is hung up on forcing people away from "traditional" boy, girl romance.
