If I could transfer some of my lifetime to George, I so would... well... only if I could still read his books, that is.

LOL wut? this quote was supposed to be between Dazzle's and Rivaini's and it disappeared :/

Also, listening to the one Nightwish album I have, as I was reminded of them via the DQ music thread.

I'm always happy to induce people to listen to Nightwish :D Which album do you have if I may ask?

I know.  Ugh next week.  So much uncertainty in the future, there is a desturbance in the Force.

What the Hell is a 'desturbance'?

*just sitting in a corner, drinking whiskey, watching the shenanigans*

just discovered my tablet's predictive text knows 'shembala'

SHEMBALA!!! *drink*

Don't attack me, but Dark Passion Play.

(I understand that the band underwent a significant shakeup just prior to its release)

Don't know. But I suppose May.

I'd say: Far too long!

But I'm far more waiting for the next book.

The books are definitely superior. I just hope they start to wrap sh*t up.

LOL at the bolded part!  But yeah, not the biggest fan of Anette's era - I've come to appreciate it with time, specially after Imaginaerum which was written for her voice (don't get me wrong, Tuomas -the writer, composer and pianist- is a genius and there are some amazing songs in DPP but Anette can't be compared with Tarja or Floor IMO).

And yeah, those were very hard times for the band.

Yeah, I owe it to myself to go back and really listen through their discography.

That said, I find I need to be in a certain (often a bit darker) mood for most of the music. I would appreciate an entire album of The Islander Last of the Wilds music.

You definitely should :) though I won't blame you if you skip the first one (Angels Fall First) it's very very different to the others.

Both The Islander and Last of the Wilds (which may be my favourite instrumental NW song) are wonderful.

Since Floor Jansen joined it is.

I was very skeptic when I knew she had sung Ghost Love Score (my favourite). Then I listened to it... and cried (of amazement and happiness). And it was just one of the early rehearsals, not the glorious performance in Wacken

Nope, it is a new era, mark or whatever but still Nightwish if the main artistic driving force remains. ;-)

Yup, towards the end of the Imaginaerum tour. She joined in 2012 as a substitute for Anette and later in 2013 as an official member of the band.

She can actually sing Tarja's songs, and she does many of Anette's songs better than her.

They released the first album with her this year, it's called Endless Forms Most Beautiful.

There's this one song that my bf loves that I don't know the name of, or which album it's off, but it's brilliant. It compares music to a battle, and of course I can't remember the lyrics. I'll check with Peter this afternoon.

It's Alpenglow and it's stunning!

To answer your question, Serza...

*Beren rages at EA Origin being unavailable in online mode.  Avoids temptation to go into long, drawn out rant about multiplayer being forced on us if we want to enjoy full SP experience... like with the dragon decor.*

I -NEED- my 3000 special ops points from ME multiplayer before I assault the Cerberus base, you buttlicks!  It won't update while your bloody servers are offline.  Guess I'll watch Doctor Who.

ETA:  ToP!  While I'm a bit upset, I don't want you guys to think I don't appreciate every single one of you, so just assume that's me saying that to DQ instead of Grunt.  :)

ETA2:  *drinks for bringing up DA related whine*

Ayep!  Well, at least it was by the time I'd power rushed to get it.  It's probably a laughable score by now, 3.75 years after game launch.  But I wanted to ensure I never, ever, ever, EVER had to worry about not being able to enjoy full SP experience because EA forces our galactic readiness score to be cut in  half for not constantly playing MP.   Looks like I found a flaw in my brilliant plan.
